Re: And then there were 7
we are not yet safe, but 1 more win should do it. Win Saturday and Fylde cant catch us, if Maidenhead lose they will be virtually out of reach and then it will be an extraordinary set of results seeing us going down, especially as there are games between teams below us.

Dagenham will get to 51 points given their fixtures.
But yeah, I’d be pretty surprised if we don’t pick up 3 points in our next 5 games….

Re: And then there were 7
Tomorrow....Barnet have the chance to go within a point of the title at home against Wealdstone. A big win on TV would put them even further behind on GD.
Boston are playing three of the teams below us in their final 5 games in Wealdstone, Solihull and Maidenhead so points will get carved up there.
NO it's not mathematical, but that win on Tuesday has made it look oh so good.

A win tomorrow is required to make sure we at least keep the gap and maintain breathing space

Staying above them is massive.
The others can all fight amongst themselves.
Anyway…Hopefully the Woking players can win on Saturday, not lose on Friday, and then spend Monday goading and kicking the shit out of Aldershot’s Wembley Plans, get a few of them suspended, and we can all break out the brandy and cigars awaiting Mr Johnson getting his Johnson ChequeBook out for next year’s romp to the title with Mr Ardley’s Champion Team of next-level Essex-based signings 🤞

I so want TW Jnr to be picked - I'm sure Chin will introduce himself to him very early on in the game
Even if TW Jnr isn't picked, with the away dugout now next to Moaners as opposed to the home dugout, I know Moaners will be giving TW Snr their opinions of him and his team / family

A Dagenham win tomorrow will make things quite interesting. They then have Ebbsfleet at home on Friday which you’d assume they’d win. That would take them to 49 points, and possibly above Solihull.
Solihull had 41 points after 25 games earlier in the season.

Re: And then there were 7
Not a lot changes IMO. We needed six points from our next four games after the trophy final. Just because we got three straight after (in unexpected circumstances), doesn't change a win in any of the next three games pretty much putting us safe. It would take a really unlikely turn of events for us to get to 52 by Easter Monday and either everyone else goes on Mega runs, or we fail to get further points.Red and White Army wrote: ↑Fri Apr 11, 2025 5:39 pmLose and we’re potentially dragged right back in to it.

Re: And then there were 7
But they probably have to win 3 of their next 4 against us, Wealdstone, Ebbsfleet and Boston.
The only way I can see them staying up is if they beat Wealdstone and Wealdstone also lose to Boston.
Dagenham absolutely have to beat Ebbsfleet on Friday. Then they have to somehow win 2 of their last 3 against Braintree A, Alty H and Solihull A. I think they’re toast.

Don't over-analyse this. The current bottom 4 are going down.Red and White Army wrote: ↑Sat Apr 12, 2025 10:01 pmHuge win for Maidenhead today.

So 31 points from 20 games from Ardley? Enough to make you feel 'giddy'?

With no disrespect, 31 points from the team he was left with, is pretty decent really.Card Sharp wrote: ↑Sun Apr 13, 2025 10:12 amSo 31 points from 20 games from Ardley? Enough to make you feel 'giddy'?

Would equate to 71.3 over a season. If we can get anything near that next season we should be just fine

Very. He’s been unlucky losing Ward to injury as well.Card Sharp wrote: ↑Sun Apr 13, 2025 10:12 amSo 31 points from 20 games from Ardley? Enough to make you feel 'giddy'?
If he can replace the entire midfield next season and teach Effiong how to score again, we’ll do fairly well.

Now we've won two matches and he's taken us from 19th to 16th.
See how this winning games and moving up the table thing works?

Unfortunately NA is doing something that Doyle wasn't able to do this footballing's year: moving up the table and winning games.Red and White Army wrote: ↑Mon Apr 14, 2025 9:00 amHe had.

And note, making scrambled eggs pies with the eggs bought by Doyle.

Trouble is Effiong generally has needed a hat full of chances to score anyway. I've said it before he goes from sploon to magnificent in 60.Red and White Army wrote: ↑Sun Apr 13, 2025 11:47 amVery. He’s been unlucky losing Ward to injury as well.Card Sharp wrote: ↑Sun Apr 13, 2025 10:12 am
