Re: Which way?
I wonder what this board would think if it were the other way around.
Seems morals have no place among football supporters; I’d have thought better of us. Oh well.

I believe there's a vacancy at the moment for the position of Archbishop of Canterbury. You and one or two others on here might just be pious enough to stand a chance of landing the gig.top of the C wrote: ↑Thu Apr 10, 2025 3:34 pmSo the consensus is, coz he’s one of ours, it was ok for him to calmly walk over and (at least attempt to) stamp on the fan (or whatever you want to call him) whilst he was being held down.

Re: Which way?
I despise the actions of our (former?) captain.
He’s a human being so I’m not going to castigate him. He’s a professional sportsman who plays football for his living, so who am I to ask that he be punished in a way that affects his job??
I’m sure he’s bright enough in his calm moments to know he acted like a moron.
That act was madness. Furious and stupid and reckless. But it was an action of the moment and had no effect on the game.
To me “the game” is the important thing, and the reason we were all there.
That’s why I despise the actions of the feigning fanny from Aldershot. That’s an act of a cheat.
It’s against the spirit of the game, underhand, and all those other naive morals we used to believe in.
There’s no justification for that.
It’s ruined the sporting event.
It’s like losing at monopoly and throwing the board up in the air. He ruined everything only for selfish satisfaction.
So yes, my moral compass does have different points of OUTRAGE.
