Defensive Signing??

I was expecting the scarf to have made an appearance this week but doesn’t look like there will be any additions to the squad before tomorrow. With a bit of luck the weather buys us some more time before our next league game.

Who are the realistic targets for Ardley to recruit? The lad at Chesterfield seems odd as he’s no where near match fit following a long injury lay off? The recently released Aldershot CB was obviously not an option otherwise he would surely be here by now? The rumour mill has been a bit quiet really and there doesn’t appear to be any obvious targets

Apparently Akinola isn’t 100% fit now so where does that leave us for a pair of CBs? Imagine having to line up with Harries and Ince…

We do generally seem to announce signings either the day before or on the day of the game so we may see someone through the doors today

Why do you think there wont be any additions to the squad, especially in a position where we have lost a loan player, and had another possible injury. I am sure NA and SB are working hard to get someone in.

I seem to remember that it was announced that we had signed Dyche last season when the team was announced at Oldham. If any incomings are loanees, then they are normally left late as it means that we get the full extent of the loan, be that a month or more.

I wouldnt be surprised to see someone in for the game tomorrow (if its on)

If we're going to be making an announcement most likely this evening, or tomorrow morning as it allows the opposition less time to prepare for how we're going to play

Didn't we finish the trophy game with Chicksen at CB?

I'm guessing if there was no other choice we might play Wynter alongside Harries. It certainly wouldn't be Ince, we have enough defenders.

Would still be surprised if we haven't signed someone by the time we next play.

The only issue with that is that it would mean either Jones or Lewis at LWB

Chicksen did come on for Akinola in the game on Tuesday, and strangely went RCB rather than LCB

Wynter was always only getting 60 minutes on Tuesday according to NA, so not sure he has 90 minutes in him

Has Wynter ever played CB in a back 2? I always thought he was a rb/rwb/ right in a back 3
