But it's not Premier League!devereux5000 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 9:35 pmI don’t think the Premier League commentators would get away with switching off for a couple of minutes to eat a burger.
Thought it was quite funny.
The only downside to us winning is that John is too upbeat....there was something pleasing about listening to John's punditry when we are bad....he's more downbeat than me.

Turns out I was only half right, team was more than strong enough.
Ref was fine, few Radcliffe players may disagree.

Radcliffe offered next to nothing. Their number 4 decided it was the ref’s fault once they went 3-0 down.
It was fucking freezing.

Re: Match Thread Radcliffe H FAT
Radcliffe had some chances late on which they really should have taken but the 870 (less the 26 away) went home happy. Effiong and Ward were excellent when they came on. Thought Leahey played well, Walker much better too and good to see Ince get a start. Conte was 'rusty'...

870 is a decent crowd all things considered like the freezing temperaturesTwo of Diamonds wrote: ↑Tue Jan 07, 2025 10:31 pmFirst 30 very frustrating as we went back to sideways - backwards - sideways - backwards with the ball ending up at Harries to make a hopeful punt when he can't pass. Even when we got near the box, nobody would shoot. Anyway lo and behold, Walker drops in, gets the ball, turns forward, clips it forward into the box to an unmarked Leahy who scores. Leahey then returns the favour 10 minutes later and essentially game over at that point, but it certainly was 2 mins into the second half.

However that's 11 goals in 4 games now. Fair play to the Radcliffe fans but their limited team was no match for even our below strength team
We're the famous Woking FC and we're going to Wemberlee..

Dennon and Conte definite weak links, although I'm very surprised with Conte, thought he'd offer a lot more.
Walker has found his level.

Walker scored two and set up two which would make him the obvious choice.
Was it just me or was that penalty somewhat harsh?
And it was bloody freezing walking home!

Or Wayne Cartmel, Aaron Jackson, Rob Massey-Ellis...
I think our ref tonight was the one that did the women's FA cup final. The game was fairly easy to ref, with only the handbags incident to really manage. Thought the penalty was harsh, looked like his hands were up to protect his face from a smashed ball on a cold night.
I assume Conte doesn't want to be here.
