They used to run a website that had a section called Joking with Woking. Various Englishman/Irishman/Scotsman jokes reworked to be about Woking fans, generally insulting. I think if Slough have any actual fans left they probably don't like us.

I loved the Joking with Woking section. I doubt if any Slough fans have any deeply embedded hatred for Woking. Purely devised by an infantile mind on the basis Joking rhymes with Woking.

I liked it too. I admire the pettiness.

The Joking with Woking thing from memory was set up by a Swedish “supporter” who seemed very pleased with his grasp of being able to use alliteration in English. I got the impression that he’d never even made it to a game to be honest.

On that note what’s happened to the Dutch cards? Are they still around?

It’s taken me a week to remember midfielder Danny Bolt whom we signed from Slough , probably by Geoff or Colin , underwhelming lIRC

Correct.
Looking forward to see everyone again at Kingfield, soon.
Some interesting conversations will be had.

Fantastic crosses - Beckham style without needing to beat his man.
But he wasn’t dubbed ‘chicken bolty’ for nothing.

I'd be pretty certain it was McGovern who signed him.

Not McGovern, he wouldn’t have even known Bolt existed.

He only signed real quality, like Wayne Sutton……

I find it rather charming that he is.

If it helps him through his day, that is fine.

Does anyone remember the 2018/19 Slough home match?
........ no I thought not.
Terrible.
Probably second worst match ever, to Guiseley at home.
Or perhaps an Ebbsfleet Trophy match?
I have another 7 three year plans in me if I'm lucky.

Was that the weird period when we were basically guaranteed 2nd place but too far behind Torquay so we started losing home games?

I think I remember us losing at home to Concord and Gloucester too.
