Training with Ostersunds back in Sweden - almost a certainty he's left now.

Says he has offers from both Sweden and England.

Good luck to him, he was very good for us and probably the most leftfield sunning we have ever had.

I wouldn't mind him signing don't get me wrong, but I may be in a minority here as wasn't as blown away by him as some have been - an ok player but not the second coming as some painted him as

He appeared better because he could actually pass a ball to one of our own players.

He was distinctly unimpressive at York

I'm sort of with you. Very talented and I'd have love to have seen him with peak Anderson ahead of him and peak Ince alongside him, because he had some compromises in his game. That said, he used the ball better than anyone we've had for a while and would have probably have got a League two contract if he'd stayed in the U.K.

He was terrible at York and Ebbsfleet. Pretty decent in most our other games though. Plus he could actually play 10+ games in a row unlike most of our other players.

I imagine he’s one of those players who would look even better in a good team.

The Swedish football season runs from March to November, so it’s not a forgone conclusion that he’ll stay there. What will be, will be.

I think Curtis Edwards is better than Jack Roles, who has just signed a two year deal at a League One club. Football is weird.

If John Bostock actually manifested I wouldn't mind Edwards going, but I can't remember seeing anyone else with his particular set of skills and limitations at this level for a very long time. Him and Judge in the first half against Eastleigh at home were taking all manner of piss.

He is a really, really good player and it was clear it was going to be very difficult to persuade him to stay. It was a leftfield signing at the time and one that worked out really well for us, but I always suspected he was looking to put himself potentially in the shop window, rather than intending to make a move to Woking permanently.

Some of the opinions on this thread are a bit peculiar. He came into a struggling team heading for relegation, and became undoubtedly one of the biggest difference-makers in the last three months in terms of our survival. Yes, I saw him have a couple of quiet games as well (which player doesn't have quiet games?), but it must be remembered who he was playing in midfield with. Akinola really didn't help him at York, for example. If the season started in February he would likely have been Player of the Season, or very close to it.

Would love to see him back but it does look like a long shot now.

IMO Edwards is much better than Roles, but then we aren't really comparing apples with apples. Both are clearly talented. However, Edwards gets himself on the pitch a lot more and plays almost every week. Roles only completed 700 minutes in League 2 last season and started only 4 matches. I suspect Roles wouldn't be one of Crawley's highest earners and is probably signed for a specific role off the bench, rather than being a regular starter. I would expect Edwards to be looking for a League 2 or team overseas that can offer him a regular starting position and a good contract.

Curtiss wants too much money to sign. Simple as that. He was fantastic for us last season and I would love to see him back but MD has a budget to work too and Curtis would break that budget

how much does Curtis want a week please? evidence would of course be appreciated. Unless you plan to keep posting b̶o̶l̶l̶o̶c̶k̶s̶ unsubstantiated nonsense. (Which TBF is often par for the course here)

I have heard a report that we are actively chasing an ex PL striker. It may not amount to anything but it could be v exciting if we do get him?

Edwards. Love Berkoe as well but Edwards' speed and accuracy of passing are rare at our level.
