We have three left backs in the squad. This season is just weird.

It's part of our cunning plan to eventually name a team with just 10 defenders in different positions.

Osew was offered a new two-year contract in May 2022, but delayed signing it until 21 August 2022, due to a need to recover from injury. He returned to match play six days later and following six appearances, he was sidelined for two months with an ankle injury. Osew failed to appear again before agreeing a mutual termination of his contract

Should fit in nicely.

Welcome Paul. Good luck to you.

You're gonna need it!

On the wider picture, it does seen another odd signing, but at least another body as long as he is fit. If he's played the majority of his short career so far at left back, why play him on the wing? How long for Korboa and Lewis to be fit?

Shame with those 2...whilst some lament the loss of Lofthouse, both have contributed more this season than he did last season, although in fairness to Korboa he was played more centrally.

All about tattooed ballers these days

I'm sure some of our pea-hearted cripples must suffer from tattoo based injuries

Feedback from an AFC Dons season ticket holder:

Got potential. Very rapid and loves to bomb on, but also tiny so can get bullied out of games. I'd wager conference / conf south is his level. Interested to see how he gets on

I must admit my heart sank when I checked Osew's wiki page and saw a pattern of injuries and failing to re-etablish himself in a team but feedback since from other clubs has been warm.

Really want it to work out for him here and will back him to the hilt to do so- because why wouldn't anyone right?-but if this ends up being the same sort of situation that we've seen countless times this season then really serious questions have to be asked. I appreciate that there has to be a degree of 'hit and hope' at our level in the transfer market but -as others have put it- I am starting to wonder whether we're dishing contracts out around A&E.

It says on the signing he is a winger, so why are people saying we’ve signed another left back?

Also, referring to players as pea hearted cripples is just beyond rude. Do you think any professional footballer enjoys being injured? Do you think they prefer not to play? These guys are probably on between 35-80K per year and rely on one or two year deals so it’s not as if they’re multi millionaires sitting on contracts for five years. They need to play to get future contracts and income, so saying they are pea hearted is insulting and pathetic.

I honestly believe, and it was even the same last season during the best season we’ve had in decades, that some of our fanbase prefer it when we’re not doing well so they have an excuse to be their negative, pedantic, sarcastic selves without pretending to be anything else.

He's played 90% of his career at AFC Wimbledon and played left back for them. You normally get a tag based on 90% of your career, not 10%.
