Loan rather than ex-, but Leo Hamblin scored his first senior goal at the weekend. Didn't tweet about it either.

Jefferson Louis scored the winner for North Leigh to take them up.

Did his loan to a league two club not work out?

Dowse’ insistence of sticking with FL teenagers who were nowhere near ready never reflected well on him.

Apparently he was told he could leave in January because he wasn't strong/fit enough to train for Championship football. Extra weird.

The young strikers we loaned in seem weirdly bad in comparison to the others from League clubs. Compare Meite, Robinson and Leighton to Tyreke, Little, Edser, Dempsey, Neufville, Lofthouse et al.

It's old ground of course but for me the issue wasn't the fact he kept trying them, it's that he kept hailing them as the second coming. Britton was signed amongst a fanfare of how many goals he'd scored in the U23's when a quick Google confirmed that to not be true!

Shows how good Garry was at loaning in strikers from league clubs.

Rendell, Bubb, Dan GOALman and Stockley. Even Joe Quigley was alright at the beginning before fading.

Josh Davison is the only recent loan striker who looked like he had the attributes to actually make it - has scored 12 in 40 in EFL2 during loans at FGR (3 in 20, 2020-21 season) and Swindon (9 in 20, 2021-22 season)

Jayden Wareham looks like he's had an enjoyable first year with Chelsea's development squad - finished as their second top G+A for the year.

Fair play to him. He'll probably be out on loan somewhere soon enough

And top goalscorer, I see, which being old I would give more weight to than goals and assists - although I don't know how many minutes they all played. What is it with giving the final ball such importance on all occasions? Very strange.

Ben Herring’s left Gloucester today as they’re going full time, doesn’t work with his business as it didn’t with us.

Rumours are he’s moving to Scotland to join Connor Sammon at Alloa.
