That can’t be right - everybody told me he was rubbish and WJ was much better
Just before he wins the NLS and earns a move to L2 Cheltenham
Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022
When was everybody saying this?
Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022
I have consistently said Day was appalling managed by Sarill.
Hope it works out for him at Cheltenham.
Some interesting conversations will be had.

He was utterly awful on debut against Rochdale, but he was fine against Barnet and neither of Barnet's goals were his fault. It was strange that Sarll chose to drop him after the Barnet game when he'd done nothing wrong but kept him in after Rochdale when he was so bad.

We didn't really see much of him in competitive games. Set a few goals up in pre season, but got injured shorty after and didn't play again.Amber SUFC wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 2:24 pmNana Boateng joined Sutton. Honest opinions would be appreciated.

Interesting player - felt like he was a weird mix of things that you wouldn't expect from a winger.Amber SUFC wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 2:24 pmNana Boateng joined Sutton. Honest opinions would be appreciated.
Small, reasonably quick and with very quick feet, but not fast. Liked his composure and his passing, which didn't feel particularly winger-y. Don't remember him coming close to scoring - seemed to prefer cutting inside and then crossing/passing anyway, getting into awkward spaces.
Almost entirely used as an impact sub for us and then for Solihull when he recovered from his injury. 2 assists in 295 minutes looks good on paper, but they're both kind of incidental - taking advantage of oppo defensive mistakes to lay someone in one on one - so take with a pinch of salt.
Not convinced physically, but I liked watching him. Dorking was probably his best game, the #15 here. Almost sets up Amond, and then sets up the second in the next clip.

Too small/lightweight for this level. Some Woking fans got over excited because he did a goal during pre-season. Little end product.Amber SUFC wrote: ↑Mon Jun 10, 2024 2:24 pmNana Boateng joined Sutton. Honest opinions would be appreciated.
