As I remember it, the Former manager said he’d intended to build his team around the talent of Roles, but he got injured. He stuttered and sputtered and didn’t return strongly.
Roles (on reputation and background probably one of the most talented “footballers” WFC ever had) got a move upward towards where he ought to have been - if fit - and we got someone else in 🤷‍♂️
