AD and his Dartford side put another 3 points up yesterday. Barring an absolute unthinkable / unimaginable end of season scenario we may possibly see him again next season

Funny how some parting pissy comments tend to come back and haunt you. Don't think we had any other manager or assistants who ever said such things...

There's still time for the Alan Dowson 2nd half season slump though...Remember us post Watford?

Fair play to him, though, doing a very good job there so far. Maybe he has learnt.

He’s always been a good manager at part time level.

I still have no idea how we went up through the playoffs considering the dreadful form we were in leading up to them.

Who knows - we may still even be in that league if we hadn’t gone up that year.

Their manager is fellow Ivorian Kolo Toure, so perhaps there is some sort of connection, otherwise it's crazy he's gone from us/Tonbridge in non-league to the Championship in 3 years - via about 50 games elsewhere in Europe.

This is thoroughly unsurprising.

That may well be the case...

How many near-50 year olds playing tier 7-8/Southern Prem or so? I'm guessing prolly none or the odd one in their mid-forties...?

Jayden Wareham recalled from Leyton Orient by Chelsea yoof. Looks like he's struggled to break into a team that is absolutely flying at the minute - 366 minutes in the league since September.

Jake Vokins recalled by Southampton never really made his mark, looked a decent player at some points but never really good enough

I didnt rate him that highly but it means there is no back up for Casey.

Vokins was an odd one, never really nailed down a place in the team

Good luck to him. Looked better (aside from the Eastleigh game) at left back than when playing on the wing. Just didn’t take his chances. Looked like he had a quality cross on him, but more often than not didn’t beat the first man.

I guess Moss/O’Connell/Lofthouse/Johnson would be cover if needed at left back now. With Korboa/Wilkinson and hopefully RGC coming back, I imagine he wasn’t going to make matchday squads, so this does make sense if he came here to develop.

We probably don’t need both Johnson and Vokins seeing as neither is near the starting 11 at the moment.

As mentioned, it does mean we would ideally keep O’Connell now as full back cover otherwise this really just leaves Moss and Casey as proper RB/LB options.

Frees up a future loan option too as we have O’Connell, Dackers, Solomon and Wady leaving (I believe) space for one more now if required.

Hasn’t really done well since joining just 2 goals in 25 games maybe league 1 is too big of a jump. I think he will do alright at wimbledon

whats the deal with O'Connell. Was surprised to see him in the XI last week. Have we extended his loan, and if so how long for

Charlie Cooper signs an 18-month deal with Yeovil after leaving Oldham last month. Apparently he's been training with Yeovil since then, and manager Mark Cooper has been sufficiently impressed by what he's seen to sign him.
