I dont think we should ever have started

Maybe hibernating until August 21 would have been more sensible

I did predict this on the predictions thread pre season......

In all seriousness, it’s what will probably happen.

Presumably players are being tested?

Chesterfield now locked down and we were they only a few days ago!!

I presume this is why BCD was a requirement.

All clubs have had to make some strictly enforced Green Zones, Amber Zones, and buffer zones / exclusion areas in between.

So provided the players and officials of Chesterfield have complied with the requirements, then no infected person would have been within the Green zones, and as such our players should not have had contact with any such person.

Wouldn’t that mean clubs would have had to make all their staff redundant though? I think it was best to try and see what happens.

‘Locked down’ ? Not even remotely close to being true.

It’s been placed in tier 2, like many other areas. And as has been suggested this is why we have COVID officers and everyone involved takes all the precautions necessary. All this chat of not starting and shutting things down is pathetic. Clearly if things really spiral and cases increase to March/April levels then action will need to be taken, but the world keeps spinning. Be sensible and crack the fuck on!

Great idea this hibernation...fuck anyone who is employed by these clubs. Really?

Every club should be following the safety protocols. Carry on.

Every club is following them, but it didnt stop Altrincham getting enough cases to postpone a game on tuesday

Now we've started we just have to carry on, I'm surprised we started with no idea how much money was coming in though. Nice that we are getting some money from the government but had that not happened we couldnt carry on with only streaming income

I think that’s what will happen from now on. You’re seeing it around the world in different sports. Teams with cases will back off, cancel games and isolate their staff. If things do get desperate again then maybe a break will be needed but as I’ve said, we just need to carry on. Not just as a football club but as a nation.

Agreed on that front, but the Govt has stepped up.

There will be cases like Alty. Ronaldo tested positive didn't he?

The right thing was to start once the Govt said they would help out...surely that is better than not playing for a whole season? I mean what would we talk about on here?!

They are at March and April levels, beyond actually.

I tell you what, I’ll bet you a £50 BTB donation, the league is not completed this season, up for it?

Then the club win ether way.

Because of mass testing, you know that surely?

It appears not. He doesn’t seem to deal in facts too much. He’s more of sanctimonious hyperbole kind of guy!

April had 300+ deaths per day throughout the entire month.

So it is still a way off those levels at the moment.
If it gets near those levels again, then it will certainly involve another shut down.

Fair enough Bottle Job.

All gob and nothing to back it up.

You had your chance to put your money where your mouth was and you chickened out.

Ha ha ha.. What a prize Wally.

Just to spell it out to you, as you’re clearly struggling a little bit.

Why would I bet against something that I think may have a chance of actually happening?

And before you do flounce off back under your rock. What about backing up your drivel on the virus situation? No? Thought not..

Say hello to The Greaseball for me.

TBF, even if the season doesn't finish, the streams have given me something to look forward to.

Imagine March 2020 - August 2021 without being able to watch The Cards, possibly longer...
