Only Doyle and Turner do...Red and White Army wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 3:20 pmWonder where that leaves Wynter/DKE... I get the feeling Ardley doesn't really rate DKE.

Re: Right Back Inbound!
A glowing report from a Tonbridge Angels fan in the office just now. "Exciting" player who can play on left side as well. Good at getting forward and not the sort of player you worry about at the back.
Hope to see him in action on Saturday!

Director of Football Jody Brown added, “We couldn’t risk not bringing in a right back with Dion and Dan Moss now expected to be out for a while.”Red and White Army wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 3:20 pmWonder where that leaves Wynter/DKE... I get the feeling Ardley doesn't really rate DKE.

“Right, you look too much like a current player so need new hair - we have available the Biggins, the early Steve West, and the Gwynn Berry”

Completely agree - On a foggy floodlit game, Andy Ellis & Flash were at times mistakenMeerkat wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 3:46 pmHave always thought incoming players should be made to have distinctive hairstyles to make them easily recognisable*…..well this chap certainly does!

Re: Right Back Inbound!
I'm guessing he starts as second choice behind Wynter, who has the superior CV, but has just come back from injury and has missed plenty of games for several years.Bertie wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 3:38 pmDirector of Football Jody Brown added, “We couldn’t risk not bringing in a right back with Dion and Dan Moss now expected to be out for a while.”Red and White Army wrote: ↑Thu Jan 16, 2025 3:20 pmWonder where that leaves Wynter/DKE... If Moss, Odusina, and DKE are all medium to long-term injuries, this is what I'd perceive the squad to be:
GK - Jaaskelainen / Webber
RB - Wynter / Hinds
LB - Chicksen / Jones
RCB - Mazionis / Akinola
LCB - Harries
DM - Gorman / Ince
RCM - Beautyman / Anderson
LCM - Vincent / Andrews
RW - Ward
LW - O'Brien / Lewis
ST - Effiong / Walker
Obviously some flexibility in that with players who cover multiple positions, but centre-back and on the wing still feels like where we are weakest.
Re: Right Back Inbound!
I actually think Hinds will start instead of Wynter as RB, and he will be or cover for CB
the squad is certainly looking better than it was a month or so ago when NA came in

Re: Right Back Inbound!
We've already got 3 midweek games in February and March + Rochdale still to be rearranged. And potentially Halifax (if we beat Gainsborough).

This is the type of player that you'd have to have some intel on before just signing out of the blueRed and White Army wrote: ↑Fri Jan 17, 2025 11:07 amWe're definitely going to need the full squad in the next couple of months.

It's a good opportunity for him to prove he can step up to National League level on a consistent basis.
