If the 49ers defence keep this up....
Criticism that’s correct is fair. The fake stuff isn’t.

Obviously you if you felt the need to respond?

If you don't have interest in something, you don't need tk engage with it. Simple as.

Anyways, an absolute shame for the 49ers player who injured himself celebrating, imagine that in a World Cup final, the spectacle of the whole bench running onto the pitch for one good play and then getting injured doing it!

I didn't watch the game until moving here. Took me a little while to get into the it. This event, the success. it grips the whole state. It's really incredible to experience first hand. Because it's a new game I can really buy into it. Cannot say the same about Sporting KC.

I have. And I don't regret a minute of it. Still can't find a way to get passionate about american soccer though. Woking has my heart.

Since moving to NZ I have got in to watching rugby league and ice hockey that I never used to be that fussed with. Also follow Wellington Phoenix in the football. It's a lot easier to get into with the Phoenix and Warriors (league team) as they are the only NZ teams in the respective Aussie leagues, so there is an instant us and them thing going on. Still can't watch a game of rugby though. Does nothing for me.
Don't quite understand the 'been there too long' thing (although assuming it's a bit tongue in cheek?). If you move somewhere, you've got to go in boots and all, otherwise what's the point ? You end up being one of those sad ex-pat types moaning about things not being the same as 'home'.

Have you gone as far as saying “hey” after every sentence and pronouncing all your vowels differently?

Yes doing surprisingly well. I'm never quite sure of the A league standard though. Probably National league standard for some of the games a a bit higher for others ? Watching the Phoenix can be odd. Usually around 7k+ fans but in a rugby stadium that seats 35k so feels a bit empty. I go rarely as it's a one and a half hour flight or 14-15 hour drive including ferry, so more of a follower than true supporter.
