Ebbsfleet friendly

Post by GU21_Cardinal » Sat Jan 15, 2022 9:47 am

From Twitter I see we drew 3-3 in a friendly yesterday with ebbsfleet. Let’s hope the new recruits are here ASAP. This defence has to be one of the worst we’ve ever had surely?

Half way through Jan - where are these new permanent exciting signings?

Would’ve been beneficial to get a couple of weeks training without a match to embed the new recruits into systems, tactics etc.

We were 2-0 up too

Can you guess the back 5 ?

It's ok though we're fixing it

Sorry to ruin the dream but it looks like Wassmer is going to Hayes. Maybe Shotton will come back instead.

This might push KE into the #DowseOUT camp. Can someone check he’s ok?

A trialist, and again
Second trialist, and again

Anyone you recognise?
One of those featured in the pictures is not a trialist but Selim Saied an academy graduate - think he's on loan at Farnborough at the moment

Martin Tyler was watching Selim Saied playing in a top of the league clash for Farnborough against the Not Police at Ember Court in the week. Farney won and Saied had a good game by all accounts, I’d suspect he’d be in the running for the First XI soon, he’s a tricky little player.

In other news Jason Banton is returning to Woking next week!

I watched him Saturday playing for farnborough alongside Paul hodges, Richard Orlu, Reggie young and Frankie Sutherland who I think was with Woking for a few games. He played well.

Agree, I think Selim has great potential, need to to keep an eye on him and give him some match time when we get him back.

He has an encouraging hint of Biggo about him (Selim not Banton!)

What did you want them to do with Wareham that we didn't? We put him on a new deal in the summer and he'd played about 20 minutes before Bromley hadn't he?

Tie him down to a contract, we knew he was a talent

I just hope we dont let it happen with any of the other talented youngsters or whats the point of the academy?

Do you have anything positive to say ? Constant criticism of everything our club does, seems to be your mantra, perhaps you'd like to put your obvious energy into helping Woking FC rather than sniping all the time

Do you have anything realistic to say, ever ? or do you live in some weird fantasy world where everything is amazing. Do you watch some of the baseless puff on youtube being pumped out and believe we're 'building back stronger' or are you nervously awaiting the next tweet from ML ?

I do help WFC, by being a shareholder, season ticket holder, occasional sponsor, boost the budget.contributor etc, You ?

But it's 'realistic' for a part-time club to compete with Chelsea for players?
