I suspect he's a South Londoner.Nonsense Potter wrote: ↑Tue Jun 23, 2020 6:43 pmIs he local? Could Dowse line up a part time job for him?!?
Started as a youngster at Palace and whilst at Palace went on loan to Bromley.
Moved to Dulwich and who then sold him to Coventry, but the loans he had whilst at Coventry were Ebbsfleet, ourselves and Dulwich
He'll sign for Dulwich............

Think you’ll find that they had an advance on some of that to stay afloat. Id like to think if they had that big a budget they would be buying better than Effiong.Kingfield Ender wrote: ↑Thu Jun 25, 2020 4:24 pmDont forget they have £750,000 in their pocket as a result of being fucking useless.

Why do we need him?
Over rated carthorse, who is let go by club after club, even when he actually does what his paid to do.
Got to ask yourself why, perhaps the Ross County incident is typical of his behaviour?

Not to mention a 3 month stint in prison.

Over rated? Maybe. Under rated by some.
We should never had signed Josh Payne then? Trust no one clamours for his return.
Football is littered with such examples of players breaking the law. Hammond and Parr for laundering? Am sure there are many more examples of players who simply have not been caught. Not defending or ignoring crimes being committed at all, simply that it occurs, sadly, and judgment has to be made. Effiong has been a victim himself, let's not forget.
Anyway, as a footballer on the pitch, Effiong has proved himself at this level. That is not in doubt...no coincidence how poor we were after he and Joe Ward left. Good season at Dover, I'd have him back. Or would you prefer Alex Wall?
Re: Ex-Cards - May 29th onwards
Josh Payne was signed by a totally different manager, who gave players a second chance and it nothing to do with Effiong as are the rest of the players you mention, apart from Ward, who was also a Limbrick player.Card Sharp wrote: ↑Fri Jun 26, 2020 8:30 amOver rated? Maybe. Under rated by some.

My judgement is made solely upon my observation’s of watching him and comparing him him with those I’ve seen previously Playing for Woking that he would need to emulate to be up to scratch IMO.
I’ve seen the best we’ve had, so yes it’s a high benchmark.
He does well in small bursts, then is shipped out, for some reason.
Which is exactly what happened last season and him signing for Stevenage recently.

I was just questioning his holier than thou attitude despite having been convicted for selling drugs on the streets.Card Sharp wrote: ↑Fri Jun 26, 2020 8:30 amOver rated? Maybe. Under rated by some.

I would take him back - but on balance I’d prefer Hyde at the moment.
How poor we were after those two left was equally to do with signing Theophanous and Cook than getting rid of Ward and Effiong.
Also - no one has ever clamoured for Josh Payne’s return.
