Re: Slough Town

when the circumstances change the strategy can change. It's not unreasonable to call for or suggest that the season be suspended or cancelled. 1100 people died yesterday. the covid situation is serious. As for the inevitable "well what about clubs finances" the answer is simple - govt should adequa...

Re: Slough Town

It doesn't matter how well we or any club for that matter follow the Covid safe rules, testing for elite sport to continue should be mandatory. How that's funded, organised, frequency is another matter, but it really should be that simple. Whether elite sport should continue is another matter also.

I can confirm there is social distancing, improved ventilation, masks, hand sanitisers, room number limits and rotation on shower use in all our changing rooms and offices. We are doing all we can and any little edge we can get to decrease the opportunities of contamination will be undertaken. I do...

What was Tim Read doing for their first goal?

What was Adie Cowler doing that far up the pitch for the third goal?

Fantastic day!

Re: Wrexham

Has anyone actually seen statistics for infections caught while playing football? I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find any although I appreciate it’s rather bespoke. I personally haven’t seen or heard of that being the case anywhere yet. Plenty of incidents before and after the games in changing r...

Re: Interviews

Dropping Casey is non starter, but he is our Captain and not doing a good enough job. When Casey is playing well both in attack and defence, we also do well. Other than Hartlepool, since Sutton, when have we played well? And I include the narrow win against Dover in the Trophy. Casey has very little...

Re: Interviews

The comment on loans is a tough one. Having so many young players who don’t belong to the club arguably affected the motivation for the derby. Individually, it’s different. Whilst I’ll probably get shot down, I think Dempsey’s our most talented midfielder and having three of our own midfielders did...

Re: Lets be brutal

nb1978 quite rightly says Dowse has earned trust and patience. There's no suggestion we should be calling for his head. That would be ludicrous. The point that he and many others have made about Jarvis, as an example, is a valid one. But, has he had a consistent run in the side? No, not really...lik...

I am inconsistent. Everybody is. Human nature.

Abuse between you 2 is consistent, however.
OK. Remember this post when you next try (and fail) to take the moral high ground.
You won't have to worry about that anymore.

The fact was wrong, but not the abuse?

Just highlighting your inconsistency BTW.

Re: Woking v Eastleigh Today ko 12.30

We all make errors David. Human nature after all. Are we all arrogant enough to call someone else a twat, without checking what we are being questioned of? You normally jump to his defence when he’s being abused - why the inconsistency this time? Normally, not always. This was about fact, not opini...

Re: Woking v Eastleigh Today ko 12.30

Absolutely take the point on the basis of that performance. Clean sheet is good given the apocalyptic performance of the back line on Saturday - needed luck but also good performances. Collier was, as several have pointed out, excellent. Don't want to imply that goals are becoming a serious problem...

Re: Ex-Cards - May 29th onwards

A very poor tweet, but I was expecting a lot worse given the comments made on here.

In some context, Mole Valley, as opposed to Woking for example, is experiencing no new cases. This is no defence of the tweet, which as I say is very poor and in bad taste.

Re: Ex-Cards - May 29th onwards

We don't know the terms of that 2 year contract. If Havant are smart, and Doswell knows what he is doing, there will be conditions and clauses. It is not as mad as people think. Some people are just trying to console themselves. I'm not worrying yet. I will start to panic if we have yet another no ...

Two year deal in the middle of a literal pandemic, where he'll play more games, at a title favorite, and likely will get paid more. Define madness? I think KT_14 Card is referring to the fact that some teams are offering/able to offer 2 year deals amongst the current uncertainty, rather than to God...

Pretty sure we had him on loan from Eastleigh and then he did really well for us but then got recalled by Eastleigh. Yemi was really good for us I thought. In terms of games and contributions, much more of an ex card than Sam Howes! No wonder Dorking did not win with Howes in goal and Wheeler on the pitch! I have a bit of sympathy for Howes as he joined them on loan close to lockdown! In fact, it looks like he fai...

Injuries have probably played their part. Hyde before he joined us was struggling to find the net somewhat. Ugwu had a good return at Ebbsfleet.

Some players suit certain clubs/managers etc.
