Re: Updated run ins

Still feels like a win and a draw would be the comfortable number to me... Wouldn't want to risk relying on any less and might even need 5 from 5 still.

Re: Alan Judge

Agree with the above. When we've seen Luker and others come on second half and frighten teams, why would a low risk deal like this have much downside if we're light in this area. Got to trust Doyler on this, having utilised second half changes very shrewdly for us recently...

Re: WFCTV | Rochdale 2-1 Woking | Highlights and Interview

Ref was a bit of a homer throughout the game though. Seemed much quicker to book ours for stuff that he was invariably not fussed to find a card for them until much later, when he started trying to even things up because he knew he'd got a couple of big ones going against us wrong. Wasn't as bad as ...

Re: Match Thread Rochdale A

Be amusing if they miraculously conspired to go down now, given said fan presumably celebrated their survival 8 added minutes and 8 remaining fixtures early.

Re: Match Thread Rochdale A

Seemed like they were constantly switching... The one criticism I can aim at it tonight is it felt a little bit square pegs/round holes, despite all the possession we could easily have at 11v11. As his been said, Lewis other than slipping behind once or twice offered very little off the front. We re...

Re: Match Thread Rochdale A

Moss had a decent game other than his final delivery at times, I thought. Casey, Edwards, and Kendall were all at it, but there definitely seemed to be a lot of legginess out there too. We put a lot into the game first half and they sat off and hardly looked bothered at times. Put himself about but ...

Re: Match Thread Rochdale A

For a player their commentary team described as a 'jack in the box', such is his supposed desire to leap up from every bad challenge, the boy Hayes certainly loved milking on the floor while the ref made his mind up (which he never seemed to all game).

Re: Match Thread Kidderminster H H

To be honest it is failing to turn up for almost the entire season and having no pride or passion (or ability) amongst the squad that has us in this hole. Yes the 6 pointers are a double whammy because it is the hope after last week that gets you. After this we are doomed, there is no spin, upside,...

Ah OK, I get it.

But so you really think he was a 4/10 the entire second half of last season? Sorry but that's madness.

Ok, entitled to your respective views. I concede their validity even if they're missing what the actual conversation around said players is, mind. With respect, saying he was only bothered 1 in every 3 games last season is total bollocks, with profoundly lacking evidence, from my point of view... B...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

I agree with a lot of what you say KN. I can't defend what I've seen of him this season and only expressed that I desperately hope under Doyler it changes - his record when he features this season is abysmal frankly. Now it's Akinola getting shit despite the fact he wasn't even signed to play midfie...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

Yep, I understand he's been very poor this season, but perhaps due to being here through three managers, doesn't get the same slack cut for him that others do that he might also have been mismanaged by the previous manager. You know the last player before Inih who I can remember being good for us un...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

Apart from the fact he walked out of Aldershot wanting to be closer to home But I liked him in both his spells, always gave it everything There aren't many players who we can say have played both regularly and well pretty consistently under 3 different managers for us. I'm really hopeful that by th...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

Inih? Technically talentless, yellow-card-collecting Sunday League striker according to Cardsboard, and our social media warriors. Dackers featured in 19 games in the second half of last season for us. I believe we'd have got plenty of mileage out of Inih if we'd coughed up for the 2 year contract h...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

Playing Browne vs Solihull at the end of last season still annoys me. We had our playoff game a few days later - none of our first 11 for Bromley should have been anywhere near the starting 11 that day. Obviously we couldn't rest everyone but Browne was absolutely on fire and was one of at least th...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

I think it was Sarls biggest mistake and he could still be manager if he had signed a proper 6 ft 2 number 9, in the summer . We got away with it last season having 3 small men up front , Dackers made them look better as he couldn’t jump and win a header ., but really, really paid for it this seaso...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

At 22 he's still plenty young enough to ply his trade as a right back or wingback if he wants to... did you ever expect Dennon Lewis would be returning to us off the back of a few seasons playing wingback?

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

Ye err... The rather key difference is though Tyreke struggled getting looks in a team that everyone on here acknowledged was rather toilet to begin with. Lofthouse was kept out by the best squad we've had in 20 years that finished 4th in a league where Wrexham and Notts broke near enough every reco...

I imagine he'll probably be joining someone else at our level on loan for some of this season.

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

Were they fools though? Not suggesting we missed either of them because we signed well ourselves, but Max and Inih were both rightly offered deals and left for better money/longer commitments, and had excellent seasons last year. Kretzschmar was one of the top performers in a very good Wealdstone te...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

When he's on his game Sol is class, but just doesn't do it consistently enough. That being said a good signing for them... Sort of expecting that them, Barnet, Bromley, and Boreham Wood will all be Top 10 again really.

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

More people wanted to keep Tyreke last summer than seem keen on retaining Lofty this... I think ultimately it was a matter of not knowing how deep we'd end up being in the areas we could use him. People on here were for instance sure RGC would be rubbish, there was no indication we would be able to ...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

Yep NP, Aldershite are only matched by Scunny for their dreadful 8 losses at home, nobody else close. On paper they look like a more dire version of what we were last season; never draw, can't play from ahead, and shit at home... I dunno what it says about Molseley (currently might also get Gosport ...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

On paper Yeovil's squad looks far too full of quality again, to the point I'd be a bit shocked if they dropped... Oldham also sound like they'll break out the cheque book this window if needed. I'd have to think both will be safe come May which leaves an awful lot of ground to be made up for the cur...
