Re: WFC TV | Woking 2 - 0 Wealdstone | Match Highlights and Interviews

So are you suggesting that the players in this squad arent capable of getting us into the top 10? Capable and should mean different things. The squad is capable of top ten. Where we find ourselves, it would require some luck/loss of from elsewhere, as well as our best players finding their best for...

I still think this team should be getting top ten
You also thought Max was third top scorer in the league and Champion was “our best defender” because someone had posted some questionable stats on Instagram! Is your top ten expectation based on more questionable FACTZ?

Re: Match Thread Wealdstone H

Four points from our next two games would be excellent (as would six). Three would be a welcome surprise, two OK. Less than two is bad. None of these scenarios will see me call for the manager’s head though. Looks like Yeovil have lost to Southend and Torquay recently, so perhaps my memory of them m...

Re: WFC TV | Woking 2 - 0 Wealdstone | Match Highlights and Interviews

Ha. On your other points - I broadly agree. I think Dowse will set up to be solid tomorrow with the intention of getting a draw. It’s what he does. I’d rather he went for it as I don’t think we will end up in a position where goal difference matters. I’d rather lose 4-2 than 1-0. I’d also take any s...

Re: WFC TV | Woking 2 - 0 Wealdstone | Match Highlights and Interviews

Was a very good performance..hopefully it will shut up the “Dowse out” brigade who seem more vocal on their keyboard than on the terraces.. or maybe there arnt that many and the vast majority of the support get behind the manager and the team Whilst I’m firmly in support of the manager, does a win,...

Re: WFC TV | Woking 2 - 0 Wealdstone | Match Highlights and Interviews

I watched the version with commentary for the first time. It shows up how often the BBC commentator gets the players wrong. I appreciate Lofthouse isn’t small, but he’s a few inches shorter and a few stone lighter than Ince - that’s pretty poor IMO. It reinforces my view that you can’t get a solid o...

Re: Match Thread Wealdstone H

In the spirit of being someone who can see the positives when we lose, did anyone else spot how poor Annersley was in the air yesterday? Wealdstone’s forwards appear to be one of their weaker areas, but the far shorter forward on Annersley’s side beat him in the air several times. It got to the poin...

Re: Rohan ince

I think it’s fair to say that the last month or so have been less impressive, but I’d link that to his time out injured/with Covid. So many positives about his game though (energy, control, skill, strength etc…) and he was integral in many of our better performances this season. I appreciate we all ...

New burger/chicken wrap

Did anyone on here sample the new food today? We already had plans for eating, but I’m tempted to change next Saturday’s plans for the family if the new additions were as good as they looked (with all due respect to the people in the video, who are on the payroll).

Any feedback?

Re: Match Thread Wealdstone H

I think we should keep an eye on Allarakhia, I think he's got some talent and energy Appreciate football causes a range of opinions, but I thought he was the weak link. Gets on the ball, has a couple of nice turns, but ultimately doesn’t make anything happen and was a complete waste when Wealdstone...

Re: Match Thread Wealdstone H

Decent result and performance. Was worried that we only got one when on top, but ultimately the defence kept Wealdstone out. New defender did well considering it was a new game. Let the ball bounce a few times, but got stuck in when needed and was a lot more mobile than our usual right sided defende...

Can we shoehorn in a nuclear option, 3-4-3:
Ross, Longe-King, Diarra, Annesley, Lofthouse, Ince, Max, Johnson, Campbell, Effiong, Kabamba.
A switch to 4-3-3 makes sense.
Smith
Lofthouse, longe-king, Annesley, Casey
Ince, Sol, Max
Tahv, Inih or Kabamba, Johnson
Soloman is suspended today.

Has this thread strayed into playing the man and not the ball?

Fair enough if people aren’t happy with the interview style etc… but is it fair to make comments about appearance etc…?

If he was on here giving it back, fair enough - but he’s not.

Re: New Signings

So apparently Solomon and Champion aren't available on Saturday. Block has gone to Hampton. Very limited options at the moment... What we need is an experienced and versatile player, with an excellent attitude - who could cover midfield, defence and occasionally striker or keeper. Step forwards Nat...
