Slavi Spasov joins Southend. Dream move for him but a bit of a gamble. They love our ex forwards.
First time around, he always looked like he had talent - but I assumed the injuries meant the end of his full time career. Good luck to him.

Re: Scarf out

Not so good in the centre circle. I've had a little abuse away from here for this. To clarify: under Doyle, when instructed to be ultra conservative in possession, Tunji looked incredibly uncomfortable. Without the ball, he's always been great. Excellent in the air, quick, energetic and an underrat...

Re: Tunji Akinola new deal

As pleased as I am about Tunji staying, the next two announcements are pivotal IMO. Our best player for the whole of last season and the most influential player around our upturn in form (IMO). If we keep both, WE ARE GOING TO WIN THE LEAGUE, THE TROPHY AND THE FA CUP.

Pleased with that. Tunji's excellent in both boxes. Not so good in the centre circle.

Re: Dan Moss confirmed gone

Despite being one of his biggest critics in his first season, he's done really well for the club on the whole. Great commitment, top athlete and grabbed some important goals in the last season. Best of luck to him at Rochdale. I'm pleased he's got a deal at such a big club and hope it does well in a...

He seems to like scoring in a ground where there are a lot of empty seats.
He'd have been perfect for Barnet away.

Raph played a blinder against them and signed when they went up in 2005 - £40k iirc - bonkers! https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EjB7x49XgAEKbKr?format=jpg&name=large Pretty sure he had only just signed an extension with us, so they could have had him for free a few weeks earlier if they'd done their res...

Re: The four offered new deals

Moss got a two year deal when we were handing out silly contracts. I suspect that he might not have been offered the crazy money he was on before. Akinola might know that he isn't going to be first choice, so might be looking at options to play every week. For Will and Chin, I suspect they have cont...

Tom Leahy signs for newly relegated Welling, where his brother already apparently plays.
I imagine he'll end up playing higher when he's got used to competitive football. Looked to have some talent, but wasn't at all what we needed.

Re: Next season NLP

I know it's fun for some to mock Aldershot, but there was a clear reason for their end of season form - the players were saving themselves for Wembley. I imagine they'll be a lot better next season than several people are predicting. They basically didn't have a centre back of any quality last seaso...

The Pedlar goal was one of two from him in about 1991. Andy Parr scored the other after a Lloyd Wye penalty was saved. I had the game on video until about ten years ago.

Can't remember the opposition - but I think the game was at Sutton's ground. Was probably Ks or Carshalton.

Simon? Has done a huge job for the club especially last year from what I could see. Wish him the v best That's a shame. I liked Simon and he went out of his way to help whenever I asked him. With stuff being outsourced, I guess that side of the club was going to change quite a bit. I gather he'd sh...

Good luck to him. I hope he stays injury free and it works out for him. There's no way he should be playing in the National South Completely agree. A fully fit Ince is a football league player. Two immense seasons for us and then injury ruined the rest. I hope part time football suits his fitness c...

45, St Francis/St Dunstans/SJB. Played football/cricket for the district and the year above. Only realised years later that being two footed and versatile made me the perfect sub for the district and for the bigger boys. Scored a winning goal for St Dunstans against a future England keeper - but the...

Almost the opposite of Tunji. A rare demonstration of an excellent observation, for you. Jones wasn't as good as Payne/Ricketts or even Murtagh when he dropped deeper, but could do some things really well. Ultimately, someone with that lack of positional sense/awareness/concentration shouldn't have...

Due to a medical emergency I've not had the opportunity to renew our season tickets until now. Just tried and it us asking for £299 each for renewal! That's not the price advertised by the club. Re: Season Tickets 25/26?

We simply cannot sit back, pay less and let Todd Johnson lob bucketloads of cash around. We have to play our part too 100%. I've just purchased three. For as long as I can remember, I've put aside £50 a month for the previous year and take my season ticket money out of it. Whatever is left over is ...
