Re: 2002-2003 A season to remember......or not

"Glenn Cockerill was manager and considering some of the results during the season it is a wonder that he stayed in his position till March 2007." Chapple had replaced Lippiatt with Cockerill which led to them falling out. Then 'Black September' led to Chapple resigning and Cockerill taking over. I...

Re: Star from Woking

According to Google both Delia Smith (let's be having you fame) and Harry Hill (him of the 1970's large collars) were both born in Woking and Status Quo's Rick Parfitt went to school in Woking,

Same season as getting beaten about 4/5-1 by Stevenage at home too?

2002-2003 A season to remember......or not

Now that I've got a bit more spare time on my hands I'm going through my football match records and updating where needed. Doing so brings back a variety of emotions and memories, some good and some bad. I've just been reviewing season 2002-2003 and what a roller-coaster of a season it was. Glenn Co...

Re: Spasov and Lofthouse loans extended

Glad to see Lofthouse stay. Not a fan of Spasov I'm afraid. I find it depressing that one so young dives so much. Does that mean you're not a fan of Josh Casey too? :o) Stoo did state the caveat of 'one so young' ;o) I quite like Spasov and unlike some I think he's done okay in recent weeks and sco...

Re: Wrexham

Yes its nice that we are able to watch our team play football from the comfort of our own homes. However, its clear to see that these players are now putting their health at risk for the chance of getting a couple of points. Is it worth it? Nothing is better then being down the side of the football...

Re: Woking 0 Aldershot Town 1 | VNL | Match Report

A report on yesterday's game, by Luke Hammond , is to be found here Aldershot's goalscorer is shown 'pro tem' as Toby Edser. There has been some debate as to whether or not Miller got the final touch, but other sports news sites point to Edser. This may be revisited in light of new evidence. Don't ...

Loza, on his twitter, has denied getting a signing on fee or a large pay rise. It would appear the KL chairman is being 'journalistic' with the truth to make Loza and WFC look like the evil ones here and him an angel.

Are you sure we’re doing okay? Was it an Amish plum on Shotsweb, or Stuwfc that said the only reason we’re nearer the top is because we keep beating teams that are below us? The fact that two thirds of the leagues teams are now below us is totally irrelevant apparently. I think it’s fair to say tha...

According to their website, they are due to play on TV on 20 July in front of a 25% capacity crowd, three days after kicking off their season in New York. Tyreke is still on their “roster”. I’m amazing at research. I would be very happy to see John Goddard back, known as “twinkle toes” to my son an...

Re: Ex-Cards - May 29th onwards

That's a strange move IMO. Unless its a stepping stone to Rangers or Celtic you could argue that Gillingham are a far bigger club. Ross Country are a very decent club in a beautiful part of the U.K. Nice ground, nice place Dingwall or Inverness to live in,a lot better place to be than Gillingham, a...
