Re: New Kit

Admire that level of research tbf. Although the below sounds like a fake review you’d see on Trust Pilot “That’s an absolutely gorgeous work of art is that. Might be kit of the season to be honest!“ All the praise came from here https://www.onevalefan.co.uk/2025/06/retro-style-port-vale-kit-brings-...

Re: New Kit

Why have you purchased it ? “Why are you wearing a plain white football top?” “It’s a port vale kit” “Oh right, do you support port vale?” “No.” “Are you from Stoke?” “No. I paid £50 for it because someone told me it was retro” Plenty of people with a different opinion to you. It will look nice wit...

Re: Betting Odds

Carlisle odds on (19/20) for promotion? That's probably the worst value bet I've ever seen. I wouldn't be going near the 'to be promoted' market anyway with only 1 automatic place and 6 teams in the playoffs. Bet 365 , you can cash out early if you look like your pick might be promoted . I had 4 be...

Re: New Kit

Port Vale Sales are going well . “Football fans from across the country have branded Port Vale's new strip as the 'kit of the season' after the design went viral. The club sold 1,815 home shirts in just one day as fans got their hands on the iconic retro design. Last week the Valiants unveiled the 1...

Re: Pitch and Ground

There’s a really good post on the Aldershot forum about teams in this league returning to semi professional status, clubs at this level must be running out of millionaires ready to lose all their money trying to get out of this league. I would think we are in the last chance saloon, if our team does...

Was it the weather that killed the pitch . No sunlight in February- extra games ? Aldershot’s pitch was very similar.

Re: Season Tickets 25/26?

The semi professional outfit above us in the league Ok, mate, go and say to Todd what we don’t want a full time team, but a side made up of local lads and the last of the gentleman footballers who are paid no more than the minimum wage. But don’t complain when the Boxing Day game is against Westfie...

Re: Season Tickets 25/26?

Tamworth would disagree for starters . Is that the same Tamworth who are handsomely bankrolled by a business man and who have obtained a very large amount of money from their FA Cup run so pay very decent wages currently and are going full time next, in a attempt to attract better players on better...

Re: Season Tickets 25/26?

Do you think that ? I see most teams have players of basically the same ability bar two or three . The manager earns his corn , he decides the tactics, players can be just inter changed and would do the same job . No I don’t think that at all, I know it to be true. Why do think professionalism is a...

Re: Season Tickets 25/26?

Stop paying inflated wages for players. Stop paying the going rate, good luck to anyone who gets a good wage, and we’ll recruit players who will get us relegated. Do you think that ? Re: Season Tickets 25/26?

Wrexham , Notts County and all have forced up wages in this league, time for clubs to drag the money offered to players down. If non league teams increase admissions chasing the holy grail , spectators will look for better value for money Saturday afternoon options. How can clubs drag wages down? S...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

I really liked his confidence, he would take the free kick just outside the penalty area, ball ending up over the goal and out the ground . Five minutes later , we would get another free kick and he would want to take that one . His rating has definitely gone up since he left , in fact you could pro...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

Effiong scores two for Dagenham to nick the points v Dorking. When he left, I was quite pleased, wanting an upgrade but in hindsight maybe we should have kept him . There don’t seem to be too many of that striker mould around , he might have really got a good partnership going with Amond .

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

We should've just not spent 30k and waited for a better option. Especially as he was going to take '6 weeks' to get up to speed. BINGO. Wrong player at the wrong time, to the wrong club. We needed a FL fringe player who would hit the ground running. It screamed for an expensive loan, not a punt at ...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

Franchise FC, the epitome of everything that is wrong in modern football. It was move or fold. Couldn't find anywhere in Merton / Wimbledon. Move the club / rebrand it and go into a purpose built football stadium or just close for business. They were not the first club to relocate and rename. I ass...
