Re: WFC TV | Woking 1-0 Wealdstone | Match Highlights and Interview

Would our 'style' change with a formation? What is Doyler's style? It's worked in terms of points, but jeez is it boring. Do bear in mind November through to February could bring hard pitches and postponements. Maybe you should reserve judgement till end of the season? Our next batches of fixtures c...

Re: WFC TV | Woking 1-0 Wealdstone | Match Highlights and Interview

For us? Hasn't been, has it? You seem as.critical as anyone at the moment and were twice as much of Dowson's 352. You wouldn't call our points return and league position successful so far? You're usually the last to criticise anyone even in the face of overwhelming evidence. I've been critical of o...

Re: WFC TV | Woking 1-0 Wealdstone | Match Highlights and Interview

Let me know what topics are acceptable to mention on this forum and we’ll stick to them then. Only comparing Anderson's work ethic to the speed of pour of Carling/Madri/other piss at the bar is acceptable on cardboard R&WA. I'd expect Red and White Army would deem that a logical comparison. As logi...

Re: WFC TV | Woking 1-0 Wealdstone | Match Highlights and Interview

It was a genuine question. What's your beef with Akinde?

I think it's quite valid to query why you would compare the 2.

Within reason and rules, discuss what you like, which is why I asked and you've avoided. Odd.

Re: WFC TV | Woking 1-0 Wealdstone | Match Highlights and Interview

What's rhe 'agenda' with Akinde?!

Don't really see the point of comparing Anderson to Akinde. He plays for a different team. In a different position. And is nearing the end of his career. Odd.

Re: WFC TV | Woking 1-0 Wealdstone | Match Highlights and Interview

Whilst I agree our strikers are starved of service, Walker just doesn't put enough effort in. There were a few occasions when he did well to hold the ball up and lay it off then barely moved, as if admiring his own work. Maybe that's the instruction, but he simply hasn't shown enough. Time to step up.

Re: WFC TV | Woking 1-0 Wealdstone | Match Highlights and Interview

Did he really say from 20 minutes in to half time he enjoyed it? I wouldn't want a night out with Doyler based on that. Braintree one of the hardest places in the league to go? That said, a lot of the other stuff he said makes sense....if it comes to fruition. As in Anderson, and getting better as w...

Re: Match thread

So positives... 3 points Another clean sheet Will and backline looking solid In the top ten of the table Negatives...should we be? Well it's me, so why not... Whilst we won, I'd happily not see Walker or Anderson in a Woking shirt again, and I'd happily have them prove me wrong. Gorman definitely th...

Re: Alan Judge

Is that down to how Doyle wants him to play? Or his frustration? Baffling really. As was our formation. As was our lack of substitutions. Are Beautyman and Anderson still party injured?

As for Judge, not sure he's the answer, but if cheap, why not.

Re: Alan Judge

Gorman has demonstrated shit for brains and just talks himself into the book Just play the game and understand you've been very poor so far, we need more than just being angry and ginger As Captain, he's hardly led by example and arguably has been the most disappointing signing. Not the worst, but ...

Re: Match Thread Braintree A

We cannot continue to stink the place out for an hour and then hope one of our nippy lads nicks a goal. Sevenfirst halves and only 1 goal suggests that's plan A Today wasn't an hour...it was 90+ minutes. Or hope a player gets sent off. Or hope they are as bad as Ebbsfleet. I liked Conte. Will has l...

Re: Match Thread Braintree A

Very Baffled by Braintree. It was always clear from when they came up they would almost certainly be favourites for the drop but their bizarre time wasting? Whilst drawing at home, what’s all that about? Surely to have a chance of staying up you have to target winning your home games against non ti...

Re: Match Thread Braintree A

So you don't think a 0-0 away at Braintree is a poor result? I suppose you thought we played well? It's a good result. We didn't play as well as we can but well enough for a point and a clean sheet. It wasn't a 'good' result. It wasn't a 'good' performance. Are we at 4 games now where we haven't sc...

They’ve scored three goals all season mind.
That's right, and they didn't score today and have only conceded two goals in their past four games.
So you don't think a 0-0 away at Braintree is a poor result?

I suppose you thought we played well?

Re: Match Thread Braintree A

We 'look' a threat...occasionally. That's about it.

Conte and Andrews had some nice interchanges, unlike Moss and Ward.

A snooze fest of a first half in which Braintree shaded it.

Re: The back three/five

10% of the time is a bit ungenerous but I’ll give you it. Why bother with a player with a special talent but who's available only a fraction of the time? Hmm. Ask Jake Hyde that. The football world at all levels is full of examples. Currently, for example, our manager keeps our “best XI” on the ben...

Re: The back three/five

Peak Anderson? Like 8 games 2 seasons ago? Peterborough liked Jermaine, but he got injured. Bradford liked him, but he got injured. Aldershot really liked him, but he got a bad injury. Woking fans* have never liked him, and he got injured coinciding with a huge downturn in performance/result. For s...

Re: The back three/five

In the games I've seen it's started more like 3-2-4-1 2 holding midfielders in front of a back three that looks quite attacking until you factor in that the 4 has two defenders in it to begin with At best its been a 3421, but a 3511 361 could easily be argued. There's no pace to provide an easy out...

Re: Match Thread Rochdale A

A day and game to forget. The negativity from the outset needs to be addressed and ultimately lead to the result. It will work against poorer teams and 10 men when you then bring on your more attacking players. But it won't work all the time. Doyle needs to adapt and also realise when it will work a...

It's a tactic that will work in certain games, situations and opposition. It needs to work if we're going to concede goals through poor defending.
