Re: Keep or Release

Moss over DKE is surely a no brainer. I've got no issue with what the majority of the consensus on here is. And we do need to remember, Ardley's league form is Play off worthy. Why would you release loads? There's no guarantee the ones we would like to stay, won't go off elsewhere. Will may have sui...

Re: Keep or Release

If we thought he could keep us up, why not? If we thought he was good enough to keep us up then surely we would have thought he was good enough for next season too. Ashford is here for next season. If we paid a fee for no goals till end of season (so far) then ... well. Seems to be a Woking trait o...

Re: Keep or Release

The counter argument is Ardley has managed to get a tune out of some of these players that Doyle wasn't able to. It's pretty much play off form under Ardley isn't it? But a large part of that is due to the defence which has included Mazionis or Okoli, both of whom are unlikely to be here next seaso...

Re: Keep or Release

In terms of players being released, in no particular order...and no hesitation. Not made my mind up on who is definite to retain and who to ponder over.

Anderson
Robinson
RGC
DKE
Walker
Jones
Lewis
Ince
Wynter

Re: Keep or Release

If we are to be much improved next season then half the squad need to go, no sentiment required Lets be honest it took 44 games for us to secure safety, and people want to keep most of them ! The counter argument is Ardley has managed to get a tune out of some of these players that Doyle wasn't abl...

Re: Rivalries

Quite. It's so pretend it's actually a different Aldershot club that had a rivalry with them.

Mind you, our rivalry with Stevenage, whilst ingrained on me, is now getting on for 15 years since we last played them?

Aldershot Town FC are our natural rivals now. No point pretending anything else.

Re: What is our capacity?

So what's your point? Better to have 4701 than 6000? Strange question!!! But, here we go, it’s better to have a crowd that the club feels is a manageable number, based upon the history of behaviour by both sets of supporters. The club’s responsibility is to provide, as is practicable, a safe enviro...

Re: What is our capacity?

Who told you that? The ground has safely held 6000 people before. Safety guidelines haven't change significantly since. Our fan base hasn't changed significantly since. The recent reductions have been entirely discretionary. It might make sense if there had actually been trouble but as much as we l...

Re: WFC TV | Woking 3-0 Aldershot Town | Match Highlights and Interview

The pantwetting by the Sh*ts is made even more funny by the fact they were calling us pathetic a couple of weeks ago for being very upset about blatant cheating vs what was, at its worst, a very ambiguous decision that upon replay is almost certainly nothing more than a yellow. There's a slight con...

Re: What is our capacity?

I suspect that the police limited the numbers especially after the match a couple of weeks ago. What some clubs do is if season ticket holders can't attend then there is a re-sale facility and it might be worth the club looking at that for next season. Rosemary Guess that might need some software d...

I've some sympathy for the Shots player. Roles reversed and all that.

But in no way was it a deliberate, malicious tackle. Just unfortunate for Jones.

Re: WFC TV | Woking 3-0 Aldershot Town | Match Highlights and Interview

I really hope Mick and his video team understand how much their highlight packages are appreciated by us. They are simply outstanding, the best in the league, and have been for years and years. Another really good interview with NA too. He just oozes class win or lose. Interviews always seem better...

Re: Emanuele Palladino

We’re meant to be a professional football club. This isn’t Sunday league where you have a jolly with opposition managers in the club bar after the game. Let alone with your biggest rivals in the division. It’s more tinpot than the ginger kid doing the warm ups. Or our shirt sponsor in a team huddle...

Re: Emanuele Palladino

To be honest it’s very lucky that it didn’t escalate into a serious situation. You have an opposing manager who’s son blatantly cheated his way to getting Harry sent off two weeks ago and you’re inviting him into the home bar. If it wasn’t for the 3-0 win it would absolutely have kicked off. The cl...

4,700 with 950 away
So presumably it was never actually a sell out(just promoted that way?) or several hundred never turned up?

Dare I say we lost control after Gorman went off? Where was Beautyman and Odusina today? Anderson is not good enough We absolutely lost some control after Gorman went off. If you believe some on here, Anderson couldn't have been fit. He's brilliant when fit apparently. Anyway, a fantastic first hal...

Re: Season Tickets 25/26?

Ticket pricing is always going to be a polarising subject. Much like whether Anderson is actually that good when fit. Our super and early bird season ticket prices are cracking value. I wouldn't begrudge a small increase. We certainly shouldn't be increasing for the U14 and next Gen. I also don't th...
