Re: Harry Arter

Will we actually find out though? If we don’t have the sell on clause anymore do you think the club would make a statement saying “we got rid of the clause, sorry about that”? I'd like to think the board will be honest and up front. Given they made an official statement about the speculation too......

Re: Tiresome charade.

I am quite short, so I do need to grown in one sense - however, I don't believe you get growth spurts in your 40s. Let's just stop the sniping, shall we? Although, clearly you wish to continue... I didn't take you for a snowflake card Sharp. I'm not sniping, I'm just saying you are clearly not read...

Anyone any idea if and how many and what position these players are likely to play in?
Suggest you look at today’s news, ain’t gonna happen!!
Suggest you look at the time of the post. I daresay at that time of the morning the announcement about crowds had not been made. To be fair, like...

Re: Cardscast - it's pretty good!

I can confirm I have not been paid!

Hey, we all make mistakes, and yes, less time this and last season, but a lot more than suggested!

As I say, a minor quibble, and enjoying it!

Cardscast - it's pretty good!

I'd just like to say how much I am enjoying the Podcast with Glen and Jacob. A different guest each week would be a welcome addition! Like all of us, there is some retro fitting to suit points of view, especially on the last podcast. IIRC Dowse was not appointed mid Summer, more like mid May? Wasn't...

Depends how the contracts are written. The Government have not said they cannot play. Simply that supporters can't watch them.

Re: depressing news!

None of us are experts on the matter. Wouldn't mothballing a season be just as catastrophic? I really don't have the answer, none of us do.

Re: Potential Oxford loanees...?

Hopefully a striker and a central defender.

Although Dowse has often said he prefers experience at the back.

Malachi Napa, winger, appeared to be definite.

The season has to happen. We may not be able to see games physically until spring next year, but there is a lot to consider as Spitfire pointed out.

Les Ferdinand echoing the same points I made. I get accused of taking the side of 'racists'...Beggars belief and just shows who the real discriminators are! Andreas Brehme was pretty decent too, and Lahm, although he switched to right back after starting at left back.

Can it play right back?
Jack Cook plays right back, and is not good enough to play centre back apparently. It's slightly wider than Gerring and just as mobile.

Let's just wait and see. If we had signed him, we would be happy? Wages depending... Personally I am more concerned that Jarvis is seemingly not ready to even be considered to be a sub in a friendly, when we are what - in theory - 2 weeks away from the start of the season. For the avoidance of doubt, the Hitler/Express comment was hyperbole. I don’t assume anyone who reads the Express, or who I’ve disagreed with here, is worse than Hitler. And in my opinion, the ugliest sentiment is that this thread, and the one about taking a knee, exist in the first place. Also, bl...

Only managed to catch the last 20 mins or so, and I thought we were on top during that period.

Whilst only from that little snippet, we need a striker. Maybe Hyde will be a bigger miss than I thought.
