Lest we forget Brett Williams and Loick Pires under Garry...? First season back in the Conference?

Re: Eastleigh (A) match thread.

I accept we are not very good, I don't understand why you don't accept it when some fans state that we are not very good and they don't like it! I dont have a problem with anyone not liking it. I have a problem with bullshit and over reactions. To be fair, nobody is immune from spouting bullshit, e...

He’s just been given a two year contract, in this day and age wouldn’t you?
It's madness apparently to dish out 2 year deals...

I'm pretty certain the board has had a word with him too....here's a 2 year deal, but clean your act up a little. Makes sense.

Re: Eastleigh (A) match thread.

Well, I think I've been on record as around 16th for this season? Take away Dover and Macclesfield, and that's 14th? So, I'll go 15th for Par.

Re: Eastleigh (A) match thread.

Your mindset is unhinged, mate. Jan/Feb, one week you would claim it madness to get rid of Dowse, then one week, one win and one loss away vs. promotion contenders later, would spearhead a fierce debate about getting rid and moving on. FWIW, as 'The Great Dowse Defender' (err) I am certainly more t...

Waffles, Ash, my dearest...We will agree to disagree, as always. Poor little old woking aren't we...Next season, Ash, the club has set a high bar for next season. Or have you forgotten this? This season Dowse set a bar of not getting relegated, well actually finishing in the spot above relegation. ...

Re: Eastleigh (A) match thread.

I don't expect much to change, because even if we're in and around meeting your bar of 12th, I'm sure you will have shifted the narrative again... See the constantly shifting narrative this season whereby one week it was 'we're shit and going down', then after a win 'next season is all that matters...

It's seldom I get involved in 'conversations' like this for obvious reasons, but I'm happy to come above the parapet this time in support of Nico's observations. I, too, have been genuinely wondering if seeing the stream rather than the match live has failed to show up much of the excellent work do...

Re: Eastleigh (A) match thread.

Because it is easy to get a reaction, and quite frankly, I'm not suggesting we should be doing a 'Sutton' this season. Within the next 3, yes. I could have named any 1 of 18 clubs, but thought Sutton would get the best reaction. The point, I am making, is that I am sick and tired of Covid, part time...

Re: Eastleigh (A) match thread.

No, don't dodge the question: please explain why Sutton's situation this season as a full-time club with a substantial budget is anything like comparable to ours, in order to explain why they've, in your view, brilliantly overcome the pandemic without complaint to become title challengers, whereas ...

Re: Eastleigh (A) match thread.

it's funny how up to say Hartlepool, certainly Barnet at home, our part time status and Covid were not being used as an excuse. Some even suggested it helped us and was beneficial to our improved mid week form as players didnt have to rush back from the office/work. Seriously, some did. We beat Wey...

Not at all. I was merely suggesting that the games shouldn't have been meaningless...as you have done to defend the 3 wins in 19.

Re: Eastleigh (A) match thread.

Waffles- 3 wins in 19 says we are shit. And we really are shit. Have we been more affected than most? If we accept that our budget was more compromised at the start of the season, that is not true as the season has progressed due to reboot, katz, arter, whatever. Hiding behind Covid is something ev...

Re: Eastleigh (A) match thread.

We have been more affected by the pandemic than most being part-time... that is sort of demonstrable. 3 wins in 19 is pretty damning... that said, I'd be intrigued to know, instead of signing on the management team, who we ought to have brought in who would be turning that around with the same grou...

Re: Eastleigh (A) match thread.

0-0 away to a play off team, down to ten men, not a bad result. Not a great performance, certainly going forward.

What did we learn today?

In the next game, it would be interesting to see how we play without both Kane and Max.

Re: Management Team sign deals until 2023

I wouldn't be surprised to see both back next season. I'd be disappointed if both were granted as many as starts as they have this season. But agreed, I think it's time both moved on, but we shall see.

Which better players do you think Kane has looked good alongside during his Woking career?

Re: Management Team sign deals until 2023

No wonder Dowse was sounding upbeat in that interview, knowing he had a 2 year deal to sign!

Yes, it is time to get behind Dowse, however, the pressure will be on, scrutiny will and should be higher. I hope he can do it. We will learn a lot in the next 6 months.

Re: Management Team sign deals until 2023

Shock, horror. Nonsense approves. Hardly excellent news is it? It's ok news. I've always thought Dowse deserved a go next season. That's why I want to see 'something' in the rest of the season. Not the same thing we have seen. So, good luck Dowse. A 2 year deal? At this level, even with some uncerta...
