Re: New Signing

It says on the signing he is a winger, so why are people saying we’ve signed another left back? Also, referring to players as pea hearted cripples is just beyond rude. Do you think any professional footballer enjoys being injured? Do you think they prefer not to play? These guys are probably on betw...

Re: Player of the Month November 2023

He played 2 out of the 5 games. I appreciate that the month included Ramsgate and Oxford City but surely there would be a more deserving winner than someone who played 40% of the month? Just wow.

Re: WFC TV | Woking 2-4 Boreham Wood | Match Highlights

Ince for the first goal is very poor. Just watched his man run off him.

Second goal a set piece.

Third is one of the clearest dives you’ll ever see but again it’s a midfielder not being tracked by Ince/Akinola.

Not good.

Re: Boreham Wood Match Thread

So so many shit players in this team. What do Bradshaw and Odusina actually offer? Ince has been worse than Makoma this season. Cuthbert easily had his worst ever game for us today. So much for WILKOs return making us more solid. Podge did nothing but then again he’s playing on the wing because we ...

Thanks, Dan. Great to hear from a player, hopefully we’ll get more of these going forward.

Josh speaks very well here, hopefully we can back it up tomorrow!

Re: New Manager

Ahhh they live locally! They’ll definitely take a job two leagues below where they last worked, on less money than they were last on (we can’t match Portsmouth’s wages), to work for a club that has never been in the football league, averages around 2K fans, has no training ground, an old stadium tha...

Re: New Manager

Danny Cowley is on Talksport's H&J tomorrow, Ben Fletcher can grill him. Heard from one of the stewards today that the cowleys were in the family stand on Saturday. I’d like to think that’s a credible st source but who knows. Will be interesting to see if we spot any tomorrow Really shows the delus...

Re: Our midfield is a big issue

Agree. Sad that Williams comes on and looks more brave on the ball than Ince. We have a huge weakness in midfield, compare last year to today

Daly, Kellermann, Ince, Anderson
Lewis, Akinola, Ince with no interest, Amond. It doesn’t compare.

Re: £1m budget and looking like relegation fodder

Need a new manager and quickly. Also need to give him license to get rid of a few, even if it means buying them out of their contracts. Also needs money to sign more. Not good.

Re: Academy Player against Chesterfield?

The academy are not a genuine academy. It’s a college scheme that pretty much anyone can sign up for. It’s not the same as an academy in a professional team. Which is why we have 100+ students and lots of teams. They aren’t good enough. Not sure if you’re a mum or dad or just not aware of how it wor...

Best as in worth a Bob or two. Who do you think are our best players?
I think Mossy gives 100% and is as hard as nails, he is young and still learning .
The issue is that our best players have no resale value (Casey, Cuthbert).

We don’t have any young players that are worth anything.

This season we have been subjected to lack of freedom of movement in the ground. Apparently in preparation of promotion We are not going to be a football league team anytime soon! Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

The 10K was probably to fund part of his wages, rather than a lump sum signing on fee.

Given the wages we are probably paying now, I wouldn’t say that’s much either.

We must have players on close to 2K a week now (Amond, Browne, Ince, Robinson).

Lofthouse training with Wealdstone - how hilarious if we ended up getting compensation from them!
