Re: Tuesday thoughts & MDs Record so far

There have been mentions recently that Browne may re-appear soon, he’s turned up recently in his training gear in group shots of the team. Cue for him during our last couple of games ripping it up with Liam Enver-Marum style “contract form” 🔥 🔥 🔥 and another two year deal. I believe Browne has an o...

Our top scorers (Scoreboa and Grego-Cox) have 6 league goals this season.

Finishing the season with our top scorer having a few as 6 goals must be a club 'record'?
lets hope Kendall finishes on 10 or more!!
Or that Cuthbert gets 8 in the last 5 games. Specifically 8 headers.

Re: Updated run ins

My understanding is that Surrey Police won't sanction us being at home on Boxing Day because of racing at Kempton Park on Boxing Day because it stretches their resources This gets wheeled out a lot but in recent years we've played Sutton, Hampton and Farnborough at home on Boxing Day. Happy to be p...

Boreham Wood also; more southern than Bishop's Stortford.
And Wealdstone, and Dagenham & Redbridge... neither of whom are safe yet.
Dagenham will be fine unless they lose every game 3-0.

Re: Updated run ins

I would guess it would be Hemel H. or St Albans, or both, based on motorway links. Braintree is in the 1950s still. Crazy. When Bishops Stortford were put into NLN there was an argument going around that although St Albans were further south, it would make more sense for St Albans rather than Bisho...

Re: Updated run ins

Didn’t Aldershot provide the funniest play off moment ever when their manager was celebrating their win on penalties before the shootout finished…and before the Shots utterly choked it? I forgot about that, that was hilarious. They conceded in the last minute of extra time to get taken to pens. The...

Re: Things the club need to do better at…

Doyle confirmed in his interview after Southend that Browne and Walker “might be back for the last couple of games”. Saying when players might be back risks more OUTRAGE when they don’t appear after the stated period eg Grego-Cox being two weeks away. A good example of why we wouldn’t want the oppos...

Re: Match Thread Southend Utd A

The non league paper gave the game 1 star for entertainment.

I had a read of their forum too. Reading some of the stuff on there, you’d think they were in Dorking’s position. They haven’t lost in 10 games and would be in the playoffs without the points deduction.

Re: Updated run ins

One final thought... if 4 of Oxford, Dorking, Ebbsfleet, Eastleigh or Maidenhead go down there's gonna be a ridiculously southern team in the Conference North next season. Probably even worse than Bishop's Stortford.

It's surely going to be a great final day of the season with all the relegation drama. As long as we don't need anything and can watch the chaos unfold.

Re: Stewards today

The stewards today were playing war games, kept rotating every 5 mins as though it was one great big fucking mission to keep a bunch of teenagers under control. All padded up, one had like protection on his back that moterbike racers have. They blew it all up by roughly man handling boys out the cr...

Think he just needs an attacking option off the bench with Lewis, Walker, Browne and Grego-Fat all injured.

With Angol now also injured, it only leaves Kendall and the non-scoring Pavey as forward options.

Re: Match Thread Southend Utd A

Genuine question (stripping out the fact it’s an excellent point away to an in form team) is that the most boring game of association football Woking have ever played? There was maybe 1 shot on target in the entire game. Football is about more than results. Two teams matched each other for effort. ...

What was wrong with them? Were they just warming up for an evening shift at the clubs trying to kick as many people out as possible? Also - what do the police at football grounds actually offer these days? Filming people from a distance to pretend they’re busy. Like they did at Aldershot on Boxing D...

Re: Dorking

They basically aren't catching us now, I actually think it's only Boring wood who can Any of the teams in 16-21st could catch us fairly easily at the moment, as most have games in hand. 4 points required from home games against Eastleigh, Dagenham and Fylde is a pretty good position to be in though.
