Re: Lucrative business opportunity

We were always going to have limited opportunities to get promoted. As most sane people realised, the money wasn’t going to be around forever which makes last year so frustrating. Let’s just hope we can make a go of it this season with most of the bigger teams now in the Football League. Regardless ...

Happy with that. Shame we don’t get to hear Cuthbert alongside him shouting HUD AT DYCHEYYY next season though.

His agent is milking that career, the next Jefferson Louis
As many as 23 clubs he's played for now. Less than the amount of days he's spent in prison though.

What would be your ideal start/finish dates? 10th September - 5th June?
For how long have our fixtures started that early? 2nd Saturday in August? Like forever?
In 1956, the season started on 18th August... so its got a week earlier over the course of 60 years.

When are the fixtures out..? I’ve heard that we start 10th August (a month too early imo) but since people on here know everything… when is it likely that we’ll know when we can make holiday plans to avoid Wealdstone and Tamworth please? What would be your ideal start/finish dates? 10th September -...

Chelsea use to shout/ sing Chelsea for 15 minutes, it was never naff Everything Chelsea do is naff. That reminds me that Chelsea have the NAFFEST thing I've ever seen. Singing bouncy bouncy bouncy bouncy na na na na na while about 10 of them jump up and down. Only worse thing I've seen is when Torq...

Re: Grego-Cox

Trouble is if (when) he gets injured he will just be sent back to us.. If we were smart enough to put a clause in that stops him playing against us...maybe we've also done a no recall/termination clause? Having a clause in that stops a player playing against their parent team is pretty standard, is...

Why would anyone take a risk on Grego-Cox?

Hes 27 years old, has a 1 in 5 record across his career and has never got double figures in a season.

Re: Squad for 2024/25

If Kendall and Walker can get 10 each it would really help us. That's about what their form this season says. Both played about 1,000 minutes (just over 11 games’ worth), and got 3 and 4 goals each. Extrapolate that over a season and it’s about just double figures if they’re regularly starting game...

Once again I’ll stand up for poor Dickie Orlu.
Not a calamity, but a wholehearted defender who was expected to be a libero.
Orlu was basically just a shitter Ben Gerring.

Re: Will and Anderson sign new deals

AAJ played as No 1 for the first 2 months of Doyler's tenure I am sure. No doubt someone will know. Anyway, we should be aiming for better. Dyer dropped Will after the Oxford clangers that saw the back of Sarrl, and kept AAJ in for his three games - in that weird period where we had almost no games...

Re: Squad for 2024/25

I agree with that last bit, it does damage football However the leagues do have it, and we know that’s because those at the top moaned and therefore got what they wanted. So why do we need to copy and damage this league? Because the National League are completely incompetent and incapable of thinki...

apart from the fact that GT was gone by January and when WJ came back into the side we had a decent defensive record under MD We had a decent enough defensive record for most the season, even under Sarll. Will's goals conceded per game is almost exactly the same as Andre. No-one really thinks Andre...

Five signings Jeremy? FIVE?! That’s insane. Happy with ‘arry Beautyman. Mainly cos it’s one of the best names in football. I was worried one of the ‘signings’ was gonna be Dennon Lewis. Lewis was announced in the retained list a few weeks ago. Oh I thought we’d just offered him a new deal. Not bad ...

I didn't say that. He might have got something, but no way it was anything like the two years remaining on his contract. He only had one year left on his contract. Good luck Alfie. Glad we can move on from this debacle. Now just the other transfer listed 3 to leave. Ince and Robinson we may be able to shift. Robinson probably more likely. Grego-Cox we have about a 0.5% chance of shifting. Even Sarll wouldn’t take him at Hartlepool. At least Pavey and Browne h...
