Re: Woking and strikers

Garry was generally pretty good at finding strikers. Maybe our style of play back then suited them a bit more. Even when Rendell got injured in the first game of the season at Tranmere he managed to get in Dan GOALman. The only time we really struggled was when Holman left to join Cheltenham and we...

That was a quick delete red and white army.
I re read the other thread and the point had already been made.

At the moment every thread seems to go back to exactly the same points so I was trying to avoid it :)

Recent results and the goal scoring records of these two would back up NP somewhat.

Relegation form, even in a season thankfully without relegation is still however relegation form.

And surely not acceptable?
I think, this season, it's acceptable.
When does it become not acceptable?

Re: Wareham

Really unfortunate timing with Wareham’s Chelsea trial. He’d have probably started every game from now until the end of the season if he’d stayed. And it would avoid Dowse taking flak for having to choose between 2 competition winners to play up front.

Didn’t watch or listen today for the first time this season.

Probably a good decision by reading through the comments on here.

All FatWankInTheKitchen does on here is:

- Moan about other people moaning
- Post betting tips (which must be placed with other people’s money) including but not limited to Torquay to get relegated from the Conference South in 2018/19.

Re: New Dowse Interview

Why do we even play these matches? We should just forfeit matches against THE BIG BOIZ and give them 3 points before kick off.

It’s not like Notts County have dropped points to Aldershot, Kings Lynn, Boreham Wood, Dover, Dagenham, Halifax and Maidenhead.

Re: Form Table

But every club is in the same boat. Our fans wouldn't have made a difference more than any other clubs'. Some teams play better without fans, Sutton for one. Without a doubt there is more pressure with fans. I'm not sure it's a simple as saying 'team x finished 10th last year, they're now 5th so it...

Maybe if fans could attend, that we would have played better? (Maybe)
Part of the reason you cannot judge this season as you would under normal circumstances, well I don't anyway.

Re: Form Table

At the point of slashing out fees (and going full time next year) I think we have moved away from being poor little old Woking , smallest budget in the world. We have used that excuse for 20 odd years despite decent crowds and being in one of the richest places in the country. Its good to have Lozz...

Re: Form Table

Are you referring to just transfer fees - or overall budget? More specifically paying for players, be that transfer or compensation fees. Wages wise, not sure but Lozza and Diarra originally went to elsewhere for more money didn't they? Maybe we got them back for less, I doubt it though. Surely we ...

Notts county are a ridiculous price at 6/5 against a team who just can't score
So are wrexham at 9/5 against a tired and injured torquay
Whilst stockport against a rudderless bromley is a given
For just £10 you can win nearly £100 surely best bet if the year
Wrexham 0-1 Torquay.

Good shout.

Re: Match Thread - Woking v Notts County

We're trying to win the game, I'll take this approach all day long until the end of the season Would quite like to see us show we're capable of defending simple balls in behind sometime between now and the end of the season. But apparently conceding 4 at home is much more preferable to tight defeat...

I'd been really hopeful about what Cook & Diarra would look like together as a partnership...

They've been absolutely shocking.

Torquay United 1 - 0 Woking Hereford 1 - 0 Woking Wealdstone 0 - 1 Woking Hartlepool United 1 - 0 Woking Notts County to win to nil: 14/5. Both teams to score, no: 10/11.
