Huge over confidence, I think.
Not an issue of over, or lack of, confidence, just stating facts. We are not reliant on other teams and Flyde are not much better than us based on league position and current form.

Re: Updated run ins

But do you think we'll beat Fylde? When we need to. With our goal scoring prowess. In front of a big crowd. I think we are reliant on others ensuring we don't need to do that. We've never lost to Fylde. They are safe. If there was one fixture you could choose it would be this one. Cue the Great Esc...

Re: Updated run ins

are now reliant on teams to mess up who are unlikely to mess up. No we are not reliant on anyone. Absolute worst case is a 3 goal win against Flyde keeps us up, but any win will be enough, bar a 7+ goal win for Ebbsfleet on Tuesday. Midweek results may do the work for us, but it is totally in our o...

Re: Updated run ins

Is there anyone that can give me some optimism for all of this? i cant deal with the floating between - we are fu*ked to, to we are safe, back to its all over Well... - We're at home to a team 3 places above us who are effectively safe from relegation. - We've only lost once in our last 8 home game...

Re: Match Thread York City A

Bowler Hat is correct, we could still win and go down with 55 points If Borehamwood and Ebbsfleet have to play each other they can’t both get more than 55 points. It would need a massive turnaround on gd for either to catch our +6 better than them. If we win against Fylde realistically we’re safe. ...

Re: Match Thread York City A

So as it stands we could win our last game and still go down, or lose it and stay up? What a bizarre end to a thoroughly miserable season. I might be wrong, but I think if we win we're fine no matter other results. Anyone know the highest ever relegation points total? 50 used to comfortably guarant...

Re: Match Thread York City A

We would need to beat them by 3 to be definitely safe, but that could change a lot after the other games in hand are played.

Exactly JAM, you’re looking from the outside, so have no idea how serious an injury might be. I’m sure they’d all rather be fit and playing than being slagged off on here by people who are not in possession of the facts. Unfortunately, thats not the impression that many others, both on here and at ...

Re: Tuesday thoughts & MDs Record so far

A lot more money has been spent , but we still haven’t got a number 9 , I am sure they cost the most money but I think Edwards and a proper centre forward and we would be in a better place than we are now. Not sure we needed all the other new players , we now have quantity but apart from Edwards an...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

It isn't their historical home. Whether it's AFC or the original Wimbledon/MK Dons, neither of them ever played at Wimbledon Stadium where AFC's ground is now. The new stadium is just a matter of a couple of hundred yards away. I've never heard anyone try and argue that it's not their historical ho...

Well exactly, how dare a L1 play-off contender team offer him a 3 year contract, its an OUTRAGE.
