Re: Ex-Cards - May 29th onwards

Inih Effiong scores from the spot on his Football League debut. Inih, Joe Ward, Nathan Ralph, Joe McNerney, Macauley Bonne, Jack Marriott, Freddie Ladapo, Paris Cowan-Hall all starting/in the XVI for their League clubs. Reece Grego-Cox, Joey Jones, Charlie Carter, Jake Caprice all not making their m...

Shit. How long does that typically keep a player out for?

Very interesting few weeks ahead now. Diarra and Gerring leave a huge gap.

Yeah that was the point - that we haven't been included in this big expansive announcement. Should've made that clear, the steps confuse me too.

From the FA ( link ): The UK Government has confirmed that organised sports, which include Steps 3-6 of the National League System [NLS], Tiers 3-6 of the Women’s Football Pyramid [WFP] and outdoor grassroots football, can continue as an exemption to its latest planned measures in response to COVID-...

30, 29, 28, 27 (next week), 27, 34 (fair enough), 27. Collier's 35 and Max is 27, to complete the lot.

Moussa, Hyde and Poks were all 30. Maybe I've just assumed incorrectly because the average age has come down a bit, but I feel like only two players over 30 is pretty unusual at this level?

Re: Tommy Block

It's a young looking team all of a sudden. Wareham (17), Evans (18?), White (19), Skinner (20), Block (20), Hall (22), Cooper (23). Saied and Hamblin haven't looked out of place in pre-season.

Welcome Tommy. That's got to be midfield done now barring maybe a loanee?

Hope it isn't UK only. I'd quite happily sign up for a streaming season ticket if I can watch from europe
I'm sure you can use a VPN to trick your browser into thinking you're based in the UK.

Re: ALDERSHOT TOWN FOOTBALL CLUB

You also run the risk of hearing Dowse and Dyer swear all game :o) One of my friends' introductions to Dowse was taking him to Slough away. Stood ten feet behind the bench. "Yeah he's a really nice bloke, totally gets the club, says all the right things." Six minutes in, Dowse is getting Cookie to ...

Penalty shootout after the game, to help Farnborough prep for their FA Cup tie. I wish I'd filmed it. 2-1 from 12 - twelve - pens.

Any idea of the scorers at Farnborough? Decent day for the cards so far! #COYC
Saied and Wood according to Farnborough Twitter
Numbers are wrong - Saied's wearing #9, #10 scored the first for us. Not sure who the second was, one of Wood or Cody.

Re: Presumably....

Mix of trialists and youth - Jarvis on the bench. 2-0 already to be fair, has been a decent watch so far. Here's the first . Trialists are interesting. Benjamin Basse is playing RB, he was last playing in the French fourth tier. Nathan Wood has looked sharp - was apparently on trial with us last sum...

1. Yes and yes. 2. Both. I'll try and buy a programme at every game I attend. 3. I think that the video highlights the club puts together are without a doubt the most important/best element of reporting the club produces. The quality and consistency of them is phenomenal, and there isn't a club at o...

*Waits for Chobham Card* Oxford was "a game too early" really - five weeks before the season is a long time. Fitness levels are noticably up now, but the squad felt it the day after! Re: Nathan Collier signs a new deal

One of the things this topic proves is just how bad someone needs to be for everyone on here to agree they’re shit. From recent seasons, Banton and Theophanous deserve a special mention for being that terrible. Banton would've been on loan in the league below by November under Dowse. Theophanous wo...

Your defence on him is way more 'over the top' than my 'attack' on him. My post is just trying to justify my opinion, which you asked me to do - "do you really believe that?" I'm not going to apologise for having a considered opinon, and it's not my fault if an opinion that contradicts yours makes ...

Wow CC, that's some response which suggests for you it is not fine that others have a different opinion. I applaud your effort, however. As I say, I am happy he has signed. He seems a very decent bloke, Dowse rates him. But your hyperbole knocks mine out of the park, it really is impressive. Well d...

Re: Nathan Collier signs a new deal

How can you gain experience if you can't even make the matchday XVI on a regular basis Collier was included in the matchday XVI for 30 of our 38 games, so ~82% of the time. The majority of the games he missed were post-February, which I'd suggest is down to the loan signings of both Harris and Neuf...

Re: Nathan Collier signs a new deal

I don't buy into the criticism of Nathan any more than I do this forum's oddly critical view of Max. Covers a shedload of positions, clearly important to the character of the group, glowing reviews from a very good manager at this level, consumate professional. Decent in the air, a better distributo...

Re: Westfield friendly

The quality centre back in the 1st half was Cole Kpekawa. Good in the air and comfortable on the ball. Would enable Ben to concentrate on heading it and kicking it if we could sign him. Need Diowse to weave his magic. I didn't actually see the leg tattoos during the game, which I assume makes me le...

Having done a bit of digging, couple of stabs at the Charlie - Charlie Wakefield? Charlie Cooper? Only realistic blonde Charlies in midfield I can find. Think the centre back who scored might've been Mo Buhari, formerly of Charlton. Thought it was Michael Chambers at first, but he moved to Billerica...

The young winger (floppy hair) in the left looked good, quick feet, could beat the defenders (and regularly did); was the standout player in the 2nd half. Sign him up. Did he play Saturday too? Re: Westfield friendly

Good fun half. Not hugely solid defensively, lots of fun going forward. Goddard has been a pleasure to watch. Like the style of Tommy Wood, plays off the back of the centre back and causes problems. Any new faces we recognise? Both centre mids have looked tidy and the trialist CB bagged the first, b...
