From the looks of that performance, what a find. Absolutely horrible to mark, took his finish well, won loads in the air. Good problem to have with him and Spasov vying for a place.

Re: Is the FA Cup devalued this season ?

Given that nobody can go, do we not fancy that though? Surely you've got more chance of beating a big side in a shootout, as opposed to having to play them all over again? I've always said this. And that replays should be scrapped, but I'm probably in a minority. I still think they should have Extr...

Re: Is the FA Cup devalued this season ?

CC Interesting that you think we will rotate. Not sure we will too much, but would like to see Reid start, though Collier hasn't done too much wrong so far this season. as for pens being the best way to beat a league club, yes it may be, but the chance to get an away draw and bring that big club ba...

Re: Is the FA Cup devalued this season ?

It's less likely to be as lucrative as it can be, and it was a pretty long shot to begin with. You're looking for a TV tie or to get a bye for a round to get you some free money. If fans were allowed in and we were enjoying the overinflated attendances that will come with finally being allowed to go...

Re: government financial support

Friend of mine is having a slow day at work, and divvied up the £3.3m allocated to National League teams by last season's average attendance. It's an interesting read - obviously not a perfect comparison, but there's a fair bit of disparity.

Re: Streaming Statement

Again, just my opinion but the clubs approach to live streaming is wrong and the fact Is the current approach isn’t working as it stands. I do think it's worth making the point that this approach isn't a rigid thing - it's changing all the time with a view to improving. On the first stream, the sou...

Re: Match Thread - Halifax (Home)

The one thing I'd say about Collier on Saturday is that the pass in behind him which led to his foul on the edge of the box was absolutely outrageous - just watched the TV highlights and they do not do it justice. The defensive line is pretty much bang on, but the ball splits it regardless. Three cl...

Re: Match Thread - Halifax (Home)

Really tough game this, Halifax are a good side. Defenders are massive but can play. 7 is really dangerous. Spasov not quite on it - right areas and some good touches, but distribution has been a little bit below where it needs to be. Cook struggling a little for the first time this season? Ref poor.

What data is being provided by the analyst?

Does this get mentioned?
Uses a platform to clip sections of the game in real time. Doesn't say what platform that is exactly, so no idea how granular the data gets.

Re: Dowse's Thursday Catch-Up | 15/10/2020

Chesterfield was a massive shock - "for 75 minutes we were the better team, only team that wanted to win it." First goal was a shocker to concede, second was the only time all season the centre-backs have lost their men. "We felt that other teams went a bit too much" in pre-season - seems like lots...

White, Hamblin, Max, Tarps, Wareham

"During the meeting, councillors described the proposals as "overbearing" and said they do not conform to national and local planning policies - despite being recommended for approval beforehand. "

This still confuses me. Why did it take such a battering if it was recommended for approval?
