Re: New Manager

Surely Robinson would be a better option than either Bradshaw or Akinola? Then again, it may be a classic case of someone becoming miraculously better as soon as they’re not playing. I feel for Bradshaw and Akinola. Two 5 or 6/10 midfielders, being asked to do what they've never done in their caree...

Re: Our midfield is a big issue

i would agree that 4-3-3 is probably our best formation when everyone is fit. However, im not sure the 3 that you mention work well in that formation. Going back to the 1st game of the season at KH, none of them seemed to know which position to take up. I would also agree that Taylor should be nowhe...

Re: Our midfield is a big issue

and that is the issue with our midfield at the moment with Ince and Akinola. Akinola is a defender by trade, and Ince is best when in a midfield that has energy around him and plays as the defensive midfielder of a 3. we are desperately missing some creative in Anderson and Kellerman, and pace witho...

If he is going to be appointed, I’d suggest waiting until they’re knocked out of The Cup.
Will save on compo, as he’ll be gone shortly after.
out of what cup. if you mean the FA cup, there will be no compensation as they lost 5-1 to Eastleigh in the last round

Re: Luke Garrard

2 things struck me with that interview 1) he looks broken. maybe a change of club may reenergise him, who knows and 2) he mentioned that he doesnt seem to have leaders on the pitch. Not sure that is going to change if he comes here. Yes we have experienced players like Cuthbert, Casey, Ince and Amon...

Bradshaw is a CB by trade
I realise that, but he hasnt played there for us since he has been there

If anything, I would put him CM for more energy and more threat going forward and play Odusina at CB

I'd like to see this line up against less challenging sides but swapping Pavey for RGC, and Taylor for Bradshaw.
Thats an interesting thought, Bradshaw at CB

WC

You may have noticed in my 1st post above that I am not convinced that Maynard is the right person for the job. All I have done is shown that as a manager of a PT team is this league he has done a good job

Re: New Manager

Maynard has done a good job at Wealdstone on a limited budget. Would he jump at the chance to manage a FT team, probably Is he the right person for the job. Not sure. As has been said above, is he any better than DS? Not sure he is I don't see how 19th & 16th place can really be defined as a good j...

Re: New Manager

CC 3 of the teams that you mention in the 1st paragraph had been in turmoil. Lets not forget that Stockport had been as low as NLN, and that Wrexham had been in this league for god knows how long before the Yanks came along. Lincoln belong in the same category as Sutton, in that they both had the mo...

Up front is major issue for me aswell. I was just about to argue the same. We seem to have number of players who are really good in certain combinations, but awful when not given the support. Pavey (not looking good enough) and Podge (plays well about one in three games, but anonymous yesterday) ar...

Adrian I am sure that if anyone on here was good enough in their field to be called up to represent their country they would do so, no matter what the circumstances are. I realise that in football at the top level the choice is made for you, in that you dont have to miss games for the team that 'pay...
