Re: WFC TV | Woking 1-0 Wealdstone | Match Highlights and Interview

Have you looked at the table. There are only 7 teams above us and we’ve played 3 of them, including the top 2. What I actually said about Rochdale was that we couldn’t tell how good they were as we were SO poor that day. I’m surprised where Alty currently are, but that was always going to be a tough...

Re: WFC TV | Woking 1-0 Wealdstone | Match Highlights and Interview

Looking at our next batch of fixtures, they are tough. However the 1st 8 (not 7 as you mention) have also included Altrincham, Gateshead, Hartlepool and Rochdale, so I wouldnt have called them easy either

Re: Match thread

And not to jump on the bandwagon, but if Gorman is the answer, what is the question Who can take a decent free kick? Look at Max, he still takes a floaty bollox one. Don't let Harries take another penalty, that was as poor as the match. I actually wouldnt say our set pieces are that good we have on...

Re: Jääskeläinen

I would add Moss to that list. In fact, I would say the same about Moss as the opening comments about Will. TBF I think the back 5 has helped both of them. and as Meerkat suggested, its obvious that Snarll broke WJ last season I can't agree. Moss is below that level (with Kendall). He's such a limi...

Agreed. Along with Dyche and Harries, our best players this season. I would add Moss to that list. In fact, I would say the same about Moss as the opening comments about Will. TBF I think the back 5 has helped both of them. and as Meerkat suggested, its obvious that Snarll broke WJ last season

FMITK

I assume that you wrote that without listening to MDs interview

If you do listen to it, it might enlighten you as to why Anderson is having his timed managed by the management

Re: Match thread

Where to start... Firstly, a wins a win. Another 3 down, another 39 to go. Harries tonight was superb, I actually thought Akinola did OK. However... If they had a decent striker, they score at least 3. A sitter in the first half, a sitter in the second and a stunning save from Will. 1 shot on targe...

Re: Formation Switch Tonight!

Best players maybe, but not particular in their best positions 2 problems with your 4 at the back. 1) I dont think Harries is best suited in a 4 and 2) Dyche at LB would worry me I personally would go 5-2-1-2 Jaaskelainen Moss Odusina (or Wynter if not fit) Harries Dyche Andrews Gorman Akinola Beaut...

Re: Match Thread Braintree A

what a depressing day Saturday was 1 turnstile open at 2.45 for a queue of over 2o people trying to get in, 4 stewards outside doing nothing, not searching or proactively looking at opening another turnstile, run out tickets to hand out when you get through the turnstile (which I later found out had...

Hindsight is a wonderful think, but why would MD have kept Kellerman when he never saw him play?

Its not 5-3-2 though, its more 5-4-1. I think the only game we have started with 2 up front was the 1st game of the season

Re: The back three/five

TBH the back five is only part of the problem, the set up of the rest of the team isnt helping. The way I saw it Saturday we started with a diamond midfield, with Akinola at the base, Beautyman at the top and Gorman and Andrews either side, almost as 'tucked in wingers'. We then had 1 up top. The pr...

Only the 2nd goal. TBH all 3 goals were awful defending, but I agree, whilst the 2nd goal is a great strike, there was zero pressure on him

Re: The back three/five

[*] Thing is, and I agree with others the midfield were bad, but who do you expect Beautyman or Gorman to find when you field 8 players who offer next to nothing in the final third? The lineup was brainless and any amount of defensive fluidity you seem to be suggesting as a positive kind of falls fl...

Re: The back three/five

There was a simple reason for the ‘switch’. It was how the set up to defend a set piece and the ball remained in play for some time which didn’t allow them to move back to their positions on the day. The 1st chance they had they switched back, which resulted in Moss moving from LB to take a throw on...

A desperately poor performance today. Huge gaps in midfield we just let them run through us.

As an aside note, was that Kevin Berkoe sitting in the stand with us?
Yes it was

Rochdale good.
Woking bad.

So negative and that's partly down to how good Rochdale have been, but can we please try and attack?
Were they
Not sure you can tell from that totally ineffective display from us.

Rochdale tickets

https://www.wokingfc.co.uk/news/article/8637/ahead-of-the-game-rochdale-a-/ Just to say that the link for tickets on the preview doesn’t work It all says that we will be situated in the Willbutts Lane stand, which looks likes it’s on the side of the pitch. Any idea what block in that stand we are in...
