Re: I am Gobsmacked

As Toby is a local lad he is pretty much known around the local scene. At least the bar takings will go up in your clubs bar.

For what's it's worth I think Toby is the better of your 2 signings

& Adrian Dilligaf, haven't heard that words in years. Brilliant

Re: I am Gobsmacked

None, at the moment, which was a pre-arranged agreement with the management that he would be working on his own fitness regime to be fit enough for the start of the season. Next!!!!! if you are going to come on this board at least have the decency to keep up with whats going on at the club or just g...

Re: I am Gobsmacked

really, is that the best you have got!!!

I am fully expecting our ex England international and PL player not to start every game, but the only way that he will play '4 or 5 at most' is if the season is curtailed again

Re: I am Gobsmacked

Villa didn't pay £27m for him from Fulham, they paid £12m. I see your Chairmans magic calculator extends to fans. he may well have been leading goalscorer in the Championship 4 years ago, but 1 goal in Australia since 2018 doesn't sound so good does it. He could turn out to be a superb signing. He c...

Re: I am Gobsmacked

For those who haven't seen, Shots have signed Ross McCormack. The same Ross McCormack who has been bumming around Australia for the last few years trying to get a game. I agree, its a big name signing, and a player with a lot of talent, but that was before he let himself go. Good luck with that 1, a...

Re: National League asks the Government.

and therein lies the problem, the Government cant decide because it seems that they don't know what is going to happen day after day. Without trying to make this too political, that is not a dig at the Government, just that as soon as they thing they have got on top of the problem, other issues aris...

The problem with 3-5-2 is who is playing RWB, assuming Cook is 1 of the 3 CBs

I cant see Dowse moving too far away from 4-2-3-1 TBH

Re: Gulf between League 2 and National League

Going back to 1 of the comments in the opening comment of this thread. Yes Barrow & Harrogate did start well, but they couldn't have had much easier starts, and I am sure Barrow will not be overly happy with a draw against a side that are lucky to be in the league. as for Harrogate not making much f...

Macclesfield Town

It seems as though they may be in trouble, and may not even start the season (if it does start)

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/54088646

Strange, given that they have signed 4 players this week, and have recently got Tim Flowers as their new manager

Re: Toby Edser

The Edser to Aldershot rumour has been floating around a long time on their forum, as apparently he started liking tweets from the club. If he gets a move there good luck to him. Sometimes its best not to go back to a club you have been to be before, and whilst he was superb in the NLS, and obviousl...

Re: Away fans in season 2020/21

onceacard, no sure how you have turned the discussion about possibly having away supporters in the ground to a dig at the Commercial side of the club. as for the commercial side, a lot of the work done is done by volunteers. with regards to the initial question on away supporters, as has been said i...

Re: Season Tickets & Match pricing

But as has been said before on this thread NP, if people wish to pay more to the club over the price of the match ticket, they can do so through other means, and if we have supporters who are able to do that than that is great, and of course the more that are able to do that the better. The argument...

Re: Season Tickets & Match pricing

Meerkat (and others). I think a lot of people understand that this a survival situation, and I think everyone on here (apart from our resident troll) wants the club to survive, however it seems many people on here also seem to forget that, due to the current situation, not many people have the dispo...

Re: Season Tickets & Match pricing

the question isn't 'Would you rather be priced out for a season, or get to see a few games and then none as the club folds?' but Do the club want to price out the fans that can turn up occasionally?. A lot of fans work at weekends or cant make Tuesday night games due to work, but have purchased a ST...

To be fair, and as much as it hates me to say it, that's a pretty decent signing by Scum
