Re: Dowse's Friday catchup - 05/03

I think it was doughnuts and spanners. Can’t think of any posters on here that he was talking about (well, one, maybe). There hasn’t been one post claiming we should be doing better than last season. To be fair he didn't say "posts" so it might not be the bubble of cardsboard he was talking about!?

Re: Striker inbound

Can someone post some stats on the new strikers please? Are they both 6’4”? Just looked up a bit on Ashford. YouTube makes everyone look like a worldbeater, but judging from his highlights - left footed, very quick for his height, likes to take players on, plays on the shoulder of the last defender...

Re: Form and realism

I dunno, ask big John. Full time football with a slightly increased budget for a start. Then if we get promoted we'll have Card Sharp asking why we aren't challenging for the League Two title. How far will a "slightly" increased budget get us though? We are constantly told that our current budget i...

Re: Form and realism

We've had more poor or awful performances in the league this season under Dowse than the first couple, yes. No doubting it, or running away from it. From that perspective, he's underachieving the very high levels he set in his first two seasons managing us. That being said, as you point out yoursel...

Tarpey, why?
Works full-time, joined us originally because we were part time and hasn’t been great when given a chance for a while. Why else?
I thought you were talking about players you would keep.

Ross, Cook, Casey, Diarra, Tarpey
Some floaters like Ferdinand need to shape up or ship out.

Re: Alty (away) Match thread and stream

There’s not one poster who has said they are happy. The poor performances have been noted and duly criticised and there will always be some over the top reactions. Everybody recognises that there has to be improvement but that is not the same as calling the manager clueless and lacking football int...

Re: Woking Football Club unveils new brand

"Do other clubs have circular badges? Yes. But do those clubs have our collective ambition for the future? No." What proof is there that we have a greater "collective ambition" than the 50 other identikit circular badge clubs out there? It's yet another phony justification being used to push throug...

I’m a little confused by this announcement - does this mean the circular badge that was put forward for voting won’t actually be on the shirt itself anyway?

What's Barnet's badge like? If we win both our games in hand we are only a point off the mighty shots!! (It's all about the games in hand isn't it, or is it only important for the teams behind us???) Well yes, given most of the teams around us have games in hand on us rather than the other way roun...

If they actually looked at the current badge and the new ones I can't see how anyone can have much issue, I am amazed nobody has called it "woke" yet or blamed remoaners or ANTIFA for our American friends, with all the faux rage going on.
