I like to support the cards but I think putting up the car parking charge by over 50% is a bit much, especially when you are not always certain that the space allocated to you isn't already occupied when you arrive, or certain games you cannot park. I am sure if the season tickets go up by as much there will be uproar!!!

I’d be surprised if season tickets were less than £175 this year.

They need to be well north of that figure £230 ought to be minimum consideration at £10 a game ...Aldershots are 350 ish

The car park is a controversial subject. We are trying to maximise our revenue from a very limited resource. Parking is at a premium and the convenience of being able to park at the ground should not be undervalued.

I cannot comment on spaces being taken by others from past season etc but moving forwards all spaces will be numbered in both the front and compound car parks and stewards will be there to ensure those who have been allocated a space get their space.

Also just for clarity parking has been charged at £150 plus VAT for at least the past two seasons. So yes it is an increase (30% NOT 50%) but it is crucial to maximise our potential so we can maximise our playing budget.

If you are interested in a space then please email Steve Knight as they are limited in number.

No brainer this park in town and walk. Healthy and lighter on the wallet.

Even a 30% rise is pretty steep. Understand the reasons but should have maybe offered a discount to those that have had spaces in previous years.

Locco FOR CLARITY you are wrong the parking was £150 NO VAT charged on top(presumably VAT included if appropriate) The spaces were also numbered last year, not that it always made a difference.

Fair point old Brian, bleary eyes this morning.

None of us can change the past but you have above what we are aiming for moving forwards.

As with all the schemes we are running/introducing the aim is to bring in revenue/streamline processes/make the matchday experience as enjoyable as possible while working within the confines of what we have / are permitted.

There is no compulsion to buy into any of these and if there are fans with ideas then they would be most welcome.

LOCCO I would also make the point that previously you had to wait a number of years before you were allocated a space but once you had one you kept it for as long as you needed it. They were not given out on a first come basis!!

Not everyone is mobile enough to park in town and walk in , whether disabled or not.

Have to agree with Brian. If existing people don’t want a parking space (At the higher price), fair enough, but they should at least be given the chance to renew.

The club has often ignored loyalty in the past, only to go back to the usual suspects again and again, when things get tight.

We are not ignoring loyalty. What we have asked is that fans who are interested register that interest so we know what we are looking at in terms of numbers. If no-one emails then we will have to rethink. If we have more emails than spaces then we will have a different scenario to deal with and would offer first refusal to those who have had spaces historically.

Because as mentioned above it should be done on loyalty and peoples mobility. Not how rich they are.

Everything goes up and people understand that. The main gripe is by how much its gone up. Especially when it isn't always policed as you turn up to park in your paid for space and there is already a vehicle in it.

Some could be held for loyalty/needy, but the Bill's need paying.

Yes but when the bills need paying its normally the same fans forking out so worth keeping them on side.

How many times does the club do it’s best to ignore loyal fans over the opportunity to earn a little more for a short time? This must be the fifth or sixth time in the last 20 years.

Have a rethink. If existing people with spaces won’t pay the price, fair enough, but whilst I appreciate you didn’t think about pissing off loyal fans, you have the chance now to confirm you’ll guarantee places for people who had them last season. Quite why you’re not doing that is just strange.

NP is correct.
This seems a strange way to sell parking spaces. What proportion of Woking supporters actually read this forum? Are you writing to every season ticket holder? Are you planning any priority/loyalty for previous holders.
FYI, the stewards on the car park are always most thorough in validating entry. Problems only happen at big matches where, mysteriously, there seem to be more spaces allocated.

It will certainly get you fit walking to and from the Wellington Centre car park, 26 mile round trip, excellent exercise, just make sure you give yourself enough time to see kick off.

This is the only difference between Woking and Aldershot, their fans pay more to watch them so have a better budget.
Very similar sized clubs, how can they be full time?

Because they get the worst full time players out there which equals 17th

Similar size?. 2,138 > 1,786.

Even Eastleigh averaged more than them
