Larger Shirt Size available

Post by RobWFC » Wed Apr 29, 2020 7:20 am

Hello everyone Newbie here!
Life long Woking Fan,

Love this new idea for names on the shirts, however as we all know the shirt sizes aren’t exactly true!
The 5XL in the club shop is approx 48/50 Chest! And that’s the biggest it goes up to... no good if your a bigger lad like myself..

After a few emails yesterday with Rosemary and Sam they have said that the shirt manufacturers would make one size larger 52/54 chest...
however they need a minimum of 10 orders to make it.

Just putting it out if anyone else is this size and wanting a shirt??

A 48 inch chest is XL and sometimes XXL in a lot of other brands. Who is making our kit???

If the size we ordered does not fit, are we able to return and get one that does?

I’m in the same boat. I would love to have the new home shirt but require one in the fat ba***rd size!
A few seasons ago I bought one of the Nicolite sponsored shirts online, I think. It was 5XL (stop sniggering at the back!) and fitted perfectly. The next year I bought the new home shirt on a visit to the club shop. It was supposedly the same size but I struggled to even get my head into the ruddy thing.

Can relate to this! I did get worried with the 19/20 shirt. Getting it on was fine but getting it off felt like I was going to dislocate a shoulder. Will go for a higher size this time!

I think the sizing chart and advice given on here to ‘size up’ would negate that. Italian large sizing is notoriously different to our large and is a medium at best. In Italian cycling gear I have to double size up but know that’s just the difference to them being super athletic mountain goats and us MAMIL’s. Likewise in American sizes I can get away with being a small or medium.

Clothing sizes are a strange world.

Similar position to Rob... I also would be up for the Much larger version so I feel comfortable in it. 52/54 would be ideal for me! Similar to my father also who hasn't had a new shirt since the Joma days.

UPDATE

with a positive response we are basically at the minimum 10 required.. so Sam has said that the 6XL size (52/54 Chest) will go onto the website for Pre Order as of Monday...
If they receive 10 or more orders for that size it will be made!!

Stoo Roberts and myself who are both ordering have said that if need be we will order more to make sure it happens!

If anyone has order the 5XL shirt (48/50) chest ... and would prefer a little more room,
Email shirt@wokingfc.co.uk and they can upgrade it to the 6XL (52/54) chest one !

Happy to facilitate the 5-6xl change but this MUST be emailed to shirt@wokingfc.co.uk by Friday 15th and 6XL is only available in the HOME shirt at present.

Listen Rob (from Bob to Rob)... The problem it is NOT the chest dimension, the problem IS the belly protuberance!

I’ve ordered a 6XL but as, worryingly, it seems to equate to a “normal” 2XL, I’m taking a chance with it fitting (probably no more than an even money shot)!
It looks like the shirts won’t be posted until late July so if at that time it looks as though there’s a chance of football returning and the shirt is no good to me I’ll either give it to the club shop to re-sell at the first home game I attend, or, if that’s not possible, offer it on here to anyone who wants it. I wouldn’t be looking for any reimbursement.

Absolutely... I’ve got till July to reduce that a little more in hope I don’t look like Matt Lucas in Little Britain in his tight red top 🤦🏻‍♂️

guess that's better than the Chinese as it would only go down to my belly button
