Jesus. They've lost £100,000 a month since they came down? £2.4m in two years?!

Probably because they relocated to an area they have no connection with, would be like moving WFC to Camberley

Fuck them. Absolutely no sympathy for them.

They've budgeted to lose £100k per month? At tier five football? That's insane.

Their ticket prices are excessive, their stewards are a bunch of cakes, they've got a squad they can't afford AND they've been given a FPL parachute payment handout the majority of the league don't have the luxury of.

Fuck them. Hope they go to the wall.

Just demonstrates that they've not been living within their means.
Parachute payments are meant to allow for a timely transition into the league below. (I.e. to allow existing contracts, on higher salaries to be honoured). They are not there to be gambled on the chance of immediate promotion. They are not Yo-yo/bungee payments. If you lose this happens.
Sad none the less though.

Maybe Wealdstone can have their ground back now... Barnet took it over and refused to ground share.

I used to love going to watch Barnet at Underhill, yes a ramshackle of a ground but they were a proper, friendly club and still were when they achieved Football League status. However since they moved to the Hive they've become a nasty club who think they are superior to those who were their equals not that many years ago and rip supporters off to boot. To be in the position they now find themselves shows incompetence of the highest order and to admit they only have an Academy because it was primarily funded by the EFL is a disgrace.

“When the tide goes out you can see who has no trunks on”
we have to compete with this spending madness, it’s a game on and off the pitch, no sympathy, as was said first of many, hows it going over the border?

Why would any of the players accept that, given no other club is going to sign them until football resumes...
