Barnet FC

Heard a rumour that the owner of Barnet has just wound up the club.

Hope it's just chatter.

Are you sure that you didn't just miss-hear that?

Just saying, because some fat bloke from Barnet has been on Cardboard winding everybody up?

I heard something similar too. I think it's about their academy, I think that's being discontinued.

Let’s hope not. Ignoring the problems it would mean for the club’s employees, the bloke from the videos might need to look for a new club and that means he might spend more time on here.

Our neighbours over the border have given him equally short shrift as well. :-)

I didn't hear it from him. I couldn't understand his accent anyway.

All non-playing staff made redundant.

Looks like it’s all over for them. The idea of making significant money out of the stadium hospitality facilities was a good one but they seem to have lived on the edge with no back up plan for an extreme situation like this one. I don’t know anything about the owner. Is he a property developer as his business model is reflective of someone who is risk hungry in that industry?!

Terribly mismanaged. Not the fans’ fault. It’s sad and shit for football.

it's a fair, open and honest statement from the Chair. Doesn't alter the facts that his eyes were bigger than his belly and now they are paying for it.
