Out of interest, has anyone seen anything of Wall as yet to suggest he’s the type of player we need to get the season back on track?

Lost 1-0 but plucky showing by little Woking fc against one of the greatest footballing sides in the country, apparently.

Fair play to those who went.

I'm glad I didn't.

At least the majority going saturday will be too battered to remember anything

This. Maybe storm Dennis gets it called off so I dont have to leave the boozer. We could be due another Sutton pumping with our attitude lately.

Dominated for large parts of the second half but couldn't score in a brothel, especially Wall.
I'm happy to defend him in the long run but not tonight. He was woeful. Put everything over, even when it looked easier to score.

Objectively however, I can see something in him as a player. If we were playing two up top with Tarpey able to run onto it, I can see his quality. He's a bruiser. In the first 15 he harassed the back 4 and the keeper, akin to Bradbury last year but with a bit more purpose. While we persist with this 1 up top and two wide men, it won't work. And I think that's the same with Hyde. They're the same player but Wall is bigger and able to draw the defenders to him. He needs be laying it off to someone running in and loza stays wide and tarpey could do it from the middle but not from the wing.
Wareham looks like he could come good in this role but he's got some years to play first. He's both the quick runner and the pressing forward.

Well that’s 90 minutes of my life I won’t get back!!!

The person with the biggest smile in the ground tonight was Jake Hyde 🤣

Wall stunk the place out - wasn’t winning enough battles and missed a load of decent chances.
Tarpey was very sharp and credit to Max for working very hard all game.
Dempsey didn’t really show up, but then wasn’t the only who didn’t really know what to do in the shambolic first half tactics and was then in the middle with other kid Neufville in the second

Wall was absolutely garbage tonight.. zero composure on the ball and missed a sitter at the end to take it to pens!

Unfortunately Wall resembled Harvey Bradbury on one of his off days.
Cook and Tarpey tried hard.
Penalty was a bit soft.
Highlight was Gez coming on as a late sub.
No KRE/LGS/CLT so a weird atmosphere.

ADMISSION PRICES

On 29th Nick Shaw posted that prices were £10 Adults and £5 concessions. Tonight concessions were charged £10 , several people were complaining but gate staff said £10 was right.
SOMEONE NEEDS TO GET THEIR ACT TOGETHER

Based on the performance we should have a refund!!!!!!!

Gutted about the result tonight. I've got a few mates who support Dorking so I'm gonna get the stick at work in the morning. We missed so many good chances aswell. Much much better second half. Hopefully we perform better saturday or we could be in trouble.

Plucky Woking couldn't quite pull off the upset. So The question still remains doesn't it?

Woeful 1st half...

2nd much better - should have put the game out of sight with the number of chances we missed

Alex Wall was an embarrassment, floundered around like a somewhat disinterested and incompetent Bambi, several leagues out of his depth. Missed a couple of sitters not just by inches but my miles. He needs to moved on.

The much awaited trip to Notts County on Saturday could be ugly if we play like we did in the 1st half... genuinely excited to be going to such a historic ground, all fingers and toes will be crossed. The management team really have their work cut out.

I haven't been able to get games recently, and good to see the standard of officiating is still in the toilet..lino in front of moaners did the square of " bugger all" all night, and the ref was a pompous arse who Dorking mugged off all night..ho hum

Did Wall not score? I mean he got 20+ goals last season in the league below, and we played a side who were in the league below that, so he must have had a field day.

Speaking of the league Dorking were in, I went to watch Leatherhead vs Kingstonian. That was awful, but Hester Cook was ok.

How did the new guy play?

I'm not sure where to start with Alex Wall to be honest. I don't think he's looked any good in any of our games he's played so far. He can't finish his dinner either. I almost felt abit sorry for him in the end last night because you just needed someone to put him out of his misery. Young lad Wareham must feel very hard done by coming off at half time. I thought we deserved something from the game though based on that second half. I wont even go there with Max's chance either.....

Yes and no. I enjoy the games and if we are in a cup I want us to try and win it otherwise we should not enter it or offically make it a reserve cup from our point of view and play the under 18's

After there poor performance on Saturday Dorking didnt really have to get out of second gear to beat a poor Woking team. Let's hope the cards turn up on Sat or it could get messy.

The SSC is not the issue. The issue is that WALL didn't score 20 goals last night against a team from a lower division.
Lucky for Max, Collier and our RB that Wall is here to take up the flack for them.
BTW... did any of the Wall fans actually notice that Diarra, Parry, Gerring, Max, Tarpey, Loza etc who all played at a level above Dorking PLUS Dempsey (Charlton) Harris (Fulham) Neufville (Luton) didn't score or win either......
