If only Sarll hadn't gone mental in summer 2023 and had made a proper effort to keep one of our most promising players.
Well exactly, how dare a L1 play-off contender team offer him a 3 year contract, its an OUTRAGE.

Yup - we offered him a new contract and he was clearly holding out for a better off, which he got.

AGENDA

Fortunately his replacement in Lewis has offered much more.

Really?!!?

Not sure of the stats but in terms of goals scored or goals created on a points per game ratio, i would say KL has a higher score. Lewis played well against Aldershot but how many of his other performances just pass the game by? How many of his runs just fizzle out?

If the statto's prove me wrong then fair enough.

Appearances/goals/assists

2023/24 Lewis: 19 apps / 3 goals / 2 assists

2022/23 Lofthouse: 40 apps / 4 goals / 0 (zero) assists

Wouldn't Lewis be a replacement for Daly? Lofthouse played off the other side.

Do the comparison with Wankfield.

As said, fair enough.

Those stats are slightly skewed though, 14 of those Lofthouse appearances you included are as a sub.

Very surprised he had no actual assists at all last season though. I suppose that's why Sarll said goodbye to him.

Stats can be shown any way you want

The fact is we sold a player who wasn’t a regular to a L1 side

Wankfield was signed before Daly and Lofty left.

AGENDA

Losing Lofty hasn't cost us. Losing Daly has.

Imagine if this Tossers player’s behaved like he did when he was a player?

Be funny to see how he would react.

Conner Hall scores a hat trick on his debut for Brackley in their win over Banbury yesterday.

Jack Roles scores, again for Crawley and provides an assist in their 3-1 defeat of Swindon yesterday.
Looking forward to see everyone again at Kingfield, soon.
Some interesting conversations will be had.

Saw that earlier. Looked a talented player, but really not the time for that sort of flair player to be coming to a team sliding down the league and lacking in confidence. Had a couple of really good games and I imagine in a few years, he will be a decent FL player.

It was move or fold. Couldn't find anywhere in Merton / Wimbledon. Move the club / rebrand it and go into a purpose built football stadium or just close for business. They were not the first club to relocate and rename. I assume that Arsenal, Man utd.. Gateshead etc are all Franchise FC's too? Yes - not all were 'modern day' but it was a move none the less and done at a time when a lot more real estate would have been available.
What would you have done?
