Re: Wealdstone

Would not have objected if Cuthbert had taken over temporarily from DS proved to be leader on/ off pitch. I don't think he is a big enough leader on the pitch. By example absolutely, but not vocally etc when players need to be told to wake up and switch on, or get things going again when the energy...

Re: Updated DOYLERSTATS

Just comparing the teams from our loss at Solihull on 6th January to now gives a bit of a clue too: Andre Moss Cuthbert Wilkinson Habergham Kellermann Bradshaw Akinola Osew Browne Amond Jaask Moss Cuthbert Wilkinson DKE Berkoe Edwards Judge Anderson Grego-Cox Korboa Other than Kellermann, the midfie...

Re: Updated run ins

So if Boreham Wood lose @ Rochdale this week and Dorking lose or draw @ Wealdstone, then a win @ York keeps us up and a draw effectively keeps us up because of our far better goal difference... bring it on A win at York keeps us up regardless as Kiddy, Dorking and York couldn’t catch us. If we draw...

Re: Updated run ins

I am all too aware it's not mathematical and that this season, of all seasons, should serve to show that there's no such thing a surprise in this league...BUT...I would be AMAZED if a sequence of results transpired from this point to see us relegated. I think Wealdstone have had it. Having played y...

Re: Match day thread D÷R Home

Not bad finish… https://x.com/ellieb3627/status/1776647597056299388?s=46&t=vrAUFtvwzjy9BK7_LP5FIg Was it too fast for the keeper? He barely waves at as it goes by! Another very busy and effective game from DKE - a few other players could learn from his commitment (yeah you Mr Edwards) I thought the...

Yep - as we’re currently playing wing backs, Casey is not a wing back. Sad to say, but I can’t see a future for him next season.

Re: Match day thread D÷R Home

On this perhaps? I present to you evidence of Inih acting liked a discourteous prick. I’d have him back in a flash, but If you dish it out, you’ve got to be prepared to take some back. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/F9CzTH1XwAAB6Rv?format=jpg&name=900x900 That day, he’d taken abuse all afternoon - he ...

Re: Updated run ins

Sooo… Dorking need 3 wins from their 3 remaining games. They’re done. Kiddy likely need 2 wins from 2 to stand a chance. (AND a 7 goal swing to overtake us). Boreham Wood probably need 2 wins from 3 to get up to 53 points. They have Rochdale A, Aldershot A, Ebbsfleet H. Wealdstone probably need 2 wi...

Re: Match day thread D÷R Home

Including one dickhead in the KRE shouting “your heart didn’t love you” at him. Pretty low as he was lucky not to lose his life. Shame on you I'll never understand abuse aimed at Inih. A maverick, but a joy to watch in both spells. He'd have been an excellent impact sub last season and would arguab...

Re: Match day thread D÷R Home

Luker is so much better as an impact sub. Had the courage to take a shot rather than just take the safe option. Berkoe makes such a difference. We look so much more dangerous down the left than the right. A rare poor day from Cuthbert. Thought Wilkinson dealt with Inih pretty well, especially as the...

Re: Updated run ins

These never really come good but we will soon be bereft of football so why not - Boreham Wood v Wealdstone - Draw or Wealdstone win Dorking v Alty - Alty win York v Eastleigh - Draw or Eastleigh win Kiddy v Halifax - Halifax win Or we could just win today and make it easier for ourselves The others...

Re: Updated run ins

York out of it now. So it becomes 2 down from 6 possible teams. With your pronouncement being (thankfully) out of kilter regarding York during the week, would you be good enough to make some more for this weekends games in an attempt to put the hex on teams around us that we want to lose? I might d...

Re: Updated run ins

The relegation against Dover was pathetic. Just needed to win against an unimpressive Dover and never really looked likely, didn't even feel like there was a desperate attempt going on. Didn't Chester beat Barrow for us too despite being crap and having no players? Yep. And we only made it to the f...

Re: Updated run ins

The NLS was only fun because we went straight back up after a miraculous turnaround against Wealdstone. Being stuck there for a few years wouldn’t have been fun at all. The Limbrick relegation felt cruel because we needed a win on the final day. But we also only needed to win about 4 of our last 25 ...

Re: Updated run ins

From my perspective, if we can beat the Daggers I couldn’t really give a monkeys what anybody else does COYC Me too. It's been a shitshow of a season. Relying on other teams being shitter, whilst spunking away the biggest budget in our history, isn't something to aim at. IF we do go down, let's hop...

York out of it now. So it becomes 2 down from 6 possible teams. On the assumption you mean York are safe and Dorking are down, surely it’s 2 from 5 6 from Bwood, Kiddy, Wealdstone, Ebbsfleet, us and Eastleigh. 7 including York now they drew. 1 or both of York / Eastleigh will be out of it after thi...

Re: Updated run ins

Could do with Halifax turning over York tonight. Bar a catastrophe/freak result (seen plenty of them over last week or two) at least our goal difference looks as good as an extra point right now and that may well prove to be the difference. Can't believe Chesterfield have lost their last two to our...

Not sure it really wastes time when the ref just adds it on anyway.
