only 674 there. That's dreadful when I would guess there were around 200 or so Woking fans
I don’t think there were more than 100 Woking on the terrace, we were just very spread out

Re: Woking 1 - 0 Yeovil Town | Match Highlights

Finally got round to watching the highlights.
The tackle on Poku is a clear lazy studs up block yellow card....
To be fair to Donnellan the goal was much better than I thought, really did start from out wide and curled a long way

Re: Ebbsfleet (A) Match Thread

Guess Yeovil was a flash in the pan for a big crowd... Abysmal match, both teams should have points deducted for crimes against football. We were all over the place - I don’t think the midfield knew what they were supposed to be doing. Did the ref manage to break the free kicks record? Clearly had n...

Re: Ebbsfleet (A) Match Thread

We are just about having the better of a terrible game of football, with a ref who appears to be going for the most free kicks in a game record

Re: Woking 1 - 0 Yeovil Town | Match Highlights

It’s a foul to impede an opponent. If they have to vault or dive over your tackle then it doesn’t matter whether there was any contact (unless you are an idiot pundit like Shearer).
I was less annoyed about Poku’s card than the one the bloke who nailed Poku didn’t get

Re: Woking stadium and regeneration – questions?

Can you give us a timeline of who will own the club at each stage of the development and the plans for the ownership of the club once the development is completed? That does seem to be a rather vague area. The agreement suggests that Goldev buys the shares off PJ and gives them to the council but n...

Jake's early free header over the bar isn't mentioned.
Almost certain the ref would have disallowed it for the very obvious push if it had gone in

Re: Match Thread V Yeovil

We played well but surprised how easily Yeovil were contained - they offered very little, no wonder their fans were grumpy! New blokes looked decent. Neufville has that very annoying habit (for the defenders) of losing the ball in a tackle but somehow appearing the other side with it - including one...

Re: Frustrating watching us fade away

Fans Forums reached their peak and subsequently should have been retired, when Italian Bruno opened a question to Cockerill with "Now, Glenn, you know I don't like you" That was brilliant, though to be pedantic wasn’t it “Now Glenn, you know I have no time for you...but....” The ever chippy Cockeri...

Re: Frustrating watching us fade away

Doesn’t take long to forget? You seem to have already forgotten the change of mood and ‘generally upbeat feel about the place’ that Limbrick brought at the start, also by connecting with fans etc. He also had a group of adoring sycophants who were blinded to the underlying issues by excellent early...

Re: Frustrating watching us fade away

Fans Forum should be a good turn out at this rate. In the red corner.......... The usual Suspects will be there. Those that have lots to say and want Dowse’s sacking won’t have the balls to turn up and front him out. No Keyboard and Pen Name too hide behind. What a strange attitude! Why would they ...

Re: Frustrating watching us fade away

While Dowse hasn't got everything right and certainly isn't above criticism I believe that he is the best thing that has happened to the club for years. He has created a change of mood and generally upbeat feel about the place that wasn't there during the days of Limbrick. It really doesn't take lo...

Re: Woking fans – support our new stadium regeneration

I support the development, just concerned about who will own the club (and having to go to Farnborough for two years!!)
The talk of rugby has been around right from the start. There not being a local club would just be seen as an opportunity by someone like Morgan....

Re: Woking fans – support our new stadium regeneration

I think the concern is that the Woking CEO is more interested in getting a rugby club to Woking.
Once they were in the council, who will own WFC, might lose interest in the football and will have an ongoing sports use of the stadium if WFC went pop.

There is a construction site of some sort off Loop Road isn’t there? Part of the fields is being used for something according to the plans.
Not sure whether it is site offices or materials.
Bit like the bit behind Moaners that was used for building Willow Reach?

Re: Questions for this week's Catch-Up

I think he could turn faster - he makes it look a real effort. If he can’t he needs to practice slowing down a bit earlier before the attacker turns him! But as you say he is as good as any RB we have had for a while. Actually I don’t think he makes any more mistakes than Casey who is often out of p...
