Re: Match Thread York City A

I'd take a point with scores elsewhere. York can't really afford to drop points so will be interesting how they play it. If we can counter them, we could be in business. A little concerned they have caught us out a few times and created some good chances but their finishing, like ours, has been poor...

Re: Cricket score?

I know the Christmas games debate was on here recently but Farnborough coming up and playing Aldershot over the festive period would be ideal. I know the clubs probably like having the derbies when they do, the crowds are always very good, but having them spaced out and on days where you can use pub...

Re: Updated DOYLERSTATS

Not sure what went on behind the scenes but this felt like a big week for our season: Feb 20th - Loss at Ebbsfleet Feb 23rd - Dyer leaves Feb 24th - We switch to 5 at the back in last 15 mins vs Wealdstone and suddenly look handy Feb 27th - beat Gateshead and for the first time in a long time had en...

Re: Dartford going down and fixture pile up

but they are still blaming him bizarrely Of course it isn't fully his fault, but his planning and recruitment can't have helped. If we go down, I'd also expect Sarll to get a portion of the blame. It's probably also true to say we might have done no worse if Sarll stayed (nobody truly knows). Signi...

We'll be back soon. Probably for a season round-up and who we'd retain/release/try to move on.

Re: Sonny sing

I’ll trust MDs signings based on what I’ve seen so far. We'll see if MD speaks on the signing but feels more like the club ringing around and taking pretty much anyone who is fit and available rather than him unearthing a gem. Get one more win (as quick as possible) and I'm happy to watch whoever p...

Re: Updated run ins

My understanding is that Surrey Police won't sanction us being at home on Boxing Day because of racing at Kempton Park on Boxing Day because it stretches their resources This gets wheeled out a lot but in recent years we've played Sutton, Hampton and Farnborough at home on Boxing Day. Happy to be p...

Re: Stewards today

is there any news as to why the stewards on Saturday were so heavy handed. do the club get notified of the Woking fans that were ejected from the ground, and the reasons why. If so, and presuming the reasons were petty, are the club going to take it any further with Southend Doubt the club can do m...

Re: Updated run ins

Stortford have been relegated from the North already which probably adds to the problem if they were the most northern of the south. I'd think Braintree will be heading north and as you say maybe others based on those possibly going down from the NL.

Re: Woking v Southend on TV

I think what they mean is due to the international break there are no restrictions in place for streaming games on a Sat. So not free, just available in the UK without a VPN.

Imagine if the team with the league’s top scorer (McCallum) ended up getting relegated. Cant imagine that’s happened before in many leagues anywhere.
I think I'm right in saying he couldn't play tonight as he is with England C which I'm sure Eastleigh were delighted about....

Re: Injured players

There's no doubt we signed a high number of injury prone players and as a result had a lot of players consistently out. Hopefully we learn from this when recruiting in the future. I don't think anyone has been claiming mental health has ruled them out, hamstrings are a bigger issue, but it is likely...

Sid Nelson joins Chatham Town from Farnborough
Got 19 appearances for Farnborough which is quite impressive given his time here. This isn't the thread for it but looking back his signing last season (and then lack of games) was a real sign of things to come with Sarll's transfer policy.

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

Before we go too far into the discussion on if he is going to Farnborough, I'm not sure it is him in the photo. Make your mind up below but I'm sure he isn't involved (the suggestion is he is in the light blue top furtherest left i believe). I'd expect him to be trialing at league clubs with the las...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

Not sure Bradbury will turn their form around but will certainly scrap (very literally) for the cause. I keep a close eye on them and after beating Ebbsfleet home and away over christmas they are now miles off and their fans aren't very happy. You've got to remember getting play-offs (and failing in...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

According to the man in the know on twitter, Jordan Maguire Drew is leaving Grimsby for Yeovil. This will be his 11th club and he is only 25.! This is the plank that said he wanted to stop playing as he was too depressed or was that just with Dowse? SUre if he is still there he will get a rousing c...

Re: Ex-Player update: May 2022

I'm sure during that famous 'poo on toast' rant, Brenan said that he was going to let anyone go who couldn't help them next season as part of their push for promotion. Now, I know we've said some pretty stupid things about going up in the last few years (Oakley, I am looking at you), but to say that...
