Re: Boreham Wood first signs of a rocky road ahead?

I was also pointing out that he was wrong. Very wrong. Isn’t that what people like Gary Lineker do - preaching about how anti-brexit is but that seems to be OK? Not a massive fan of Lineker, but the Borehamwood bloke seems to be a massive wrongun - and it’s not just the Brexit crap that he comes ou...

Re: Boreham Wood first signs of a rocky road ahead?

I think what Dave means and certainly how I meant it, was that he started to mix his position as chair with politics telling the local community how to vote in the most patronising way. Pretty much demanding they did as he said as he was the all knowing chairman. There were official press releases ...

Re: Boreham Wood first signs of a rocky road ahead?

Only 407 turned up against Sutton of which 130 were Sutton fans, how us that any way sustainable at this level. No suggestion they are in any way in bother but their chairman sounds very frustrated and has voiced about that he can't continue to waste his money. https://www.borehamwoodfootballclub.c...

Staying up on this budget would be something special. Every point counts. I honestly didn’t think we’d have this many points until October.

Love the fact Dowse isn’t at all satisfied with the state of play when he’s basically pissing on the whole of non league football.

Skinner was really impressive in pre season. A very talented youngster who needs games. The academy team have produced some very good players in recent years.

The best P/Timers are always better than the worst F/Timers.
Agree, but based on what’s being spent in the league we’ve just come up from, many of the worst full timers are actually playing at a lower level than this one.

6,000 to 7,000 with the capability to increase to 10,000 The we just have to pay for the increase. If we're going to build a new stadium we may as well future proof it on the developers seeing as they'll be making a fortune out of us. Exactly. I didn’t get the chance to ask - but I assume the stand...

Re: Match Thread A vs Chesterfield VNL

I’ve just seen the video of the first goal. Had Tarpey put it straight in, it would have been a truly exceptional team goal. The camera angle doesn’t quite show how lucky we were for it to eventually go in. If Meite ever claims he did that on purpose, he’s an outrageous liar!

Re: Nimbys

The group has been putting out some misleading images of imaginary bungalows backing onto enormous blank blocks of flats. Hopefully the council see through their rubbish.

Some fair points in the article about infrastructure - but the group is made up of some professional moaners.

Re: Match Thread A vs Chesterfield VNL

Great performance tonight. Back four were great - especially Gerring who had arguably his best game for us, blocking time and time again. Donnellan and Ferdinand worked really hard against a decent midfield, supported by Edser who started further forwards, but dropped in to help out. Johnson was sup...

Re: Jack cook is not a wing back

They worked us out. Lots of good down left in first half stopped the supply in second and cook couldn't put in a cross in second.. Not his fault he isn't a wing back. They completely sussed us out. We should have been in front, but they were miles better than us in the second half and any game plan...
