Re: National League suspended 'indefinitely'

Letting us watch football has to be a fair way down the relaxation of restrictions list due to the high transmission risk - the first game back would involve a lot of mixing and drinking. Unless they keep the bars and food shut and restrict attendances

Re: National League suspended 'indefinitely'

Surely it makes sense for the league to take legal advice any any of the options available, eg voiding the season, freezing the tables as they stand or grossing up on a points per game basis. And if the legal advice is that any or all of the above options could result in legal challenges and compen...

Re: National League suspended 'indefinitely'

That would involve clubs paying players over budget whilst not getting any extra income in on budget, also causing a Cashflow issue. Therefore clubs who would really struggle (it would be all but one of our players I believe) might go legal.

Re: National League suspended 'indefinitely'

Resuming the season would need legal advice if it is after the official end date of the season and clubs start having trouble with players’ contracts etc

I would like punditry by Gerring, refereeing decisions reviewed by our expert Casey, and Hyde explaining his input to all goals please.

And classic games reviewed by Steele and Lloyd, after they have had a few pints.

unless already referred to elsewhere Therefore apols for repeating- Yeovil have their lawyers looking at securing a 2nd parachute payment from the EFL assuming the season is deemed n+v Logically dubious. Parachute payments aren’t to help you get back to the league, they are to cushion the transitio...

Re: WFCTV | Woking vs Wealdstone | #WokingRewind

It really was woeful. I was so pissed off I didn’t really celebrate Moussa’s goal as the way we were playing made it feel like a mere consolation. Ferdinand really changed the momentum though.

Seems after all we weren’t the only part time club in this league according to National league forum . We’re we sold a lie ?
It was us and on/off Maidenhead. I think there maybe some confusion around whether ‘National League’ includes NLS and NLN or not.

Can you do webcam interviews with players? Maybe get them to comment on clips of big goals etc?
The end of scene video with Inns and Doyle was hilarious.

Re: Your Top 5 Woking Moments

good to have you back Plug Didn't the run under Lippiatt begin, or at least include, a win at Yeovil, where the 'Colins trainers' song began also, didn't Baverstock also play a game at Telford one year, also possibly on a Tuesday night, or was that another reserve keeper that hardly ever played I'm...

Re: Your Top 5 Woking Moments

Was that the game Stuart Baverstock was in goal? No. The game Meerkat refers to was a 4-2 win in March 2000. We had got spanked 3-0 by Hayes at home on the Saturday and were deep in relegation doo-doo. Went 3-0 up, amazingly, were then hanging on at 3-2 before the Akrour clincher. Meerkat is right ...

Re: National league suspended

Asking part time players to play three times a week, and playing three games a week after not being able to train or even go to the gym for a couple of months, would be harsh. It would also further reduce matchday income , STs adding little, whilst having to pay the players for at least one extra mo...

Re: Your Top 5 Woking Moments

Bit of a random one, and I am not even sure of the score, but a fair while back at Hereford. We had been royally slapped about at Kingfield on the Saturday by some small club, possibly 4-0 by Hayes? Was really miserable. For some reason decided to still drive to Hereford on a Tuesday night despite e...

Re: Your Top 5 Woking Moments

More a ‘memorable’ game than a ‘top moment’ but that away game at Slough. Ellis?? getting sent off after being substituted when he piled into a brawl anyway. Darran being implored by our fans to slay the breaking defender and complying in memorably emphatic style before throwing his shirt in the ref...

Re: National league suspended

Re: If the season ends now

If you carry on the season after contracts end then you will have to pay the players to play games fans will expect to watch for free on their STS. Cashflow strain few clubs could cope with. I think the horrible reality is that all players/staff will have to be released as soon as possible and clubs...

They won’t be in any hurry to make a decision until it’s decided whether/how this season finishes. If it’s voided then it doesn’t matter, unless there is some mechanism for us to get compo.
