Re: Frustrating watching us fade away

Fans Forums reached their peak and subsequently should have been retired, when Italian Bruno opened a question to Cockerill with "Now, Glenn, you know I don't like you" That was brilliant, though to be pedantic wasn’t it “Now Glenn, you know I have no time for you...but....” The ever chippy Cockeri...

Re: Frustrating watching us fade away

Doesn’t take long to forget? You seem to have already forgotten the change of mood and ‘generally upbeat feel about the place’ that Limbrick brought at the start, also by connecting with fans etc. He also had a group of adoring sycophants who were blinded to the underlying issues by excellent early...

Re: Frustrating watching us fade away

Fans Forum should be a good turn out at this rate. In the red corner.......... The usual Suspects will be there. Those that have lots to say and want Dowse’s sacking won’t have the balls to turn up and front him out. No Keyboard and Pen Name too hide behind. What a strange attitude! Why would they ...

Re: Frustrating watching us fade away

While Dowse hasn't got everything right and certainly isn't above criticism I believe that he is the best thing that has happened to the club for years. He has created a change of mood and generally upbeat feel about the place that wasn't there during the days of Limbrick. It really doesn't take lo...

10 was Lewis something, played left back second half. Not noticeably good or bad.
16 was a big lad with big hair. ‘Combative’ is I think the polite term - Poku would approve. Seemed decent with the ball.
Was that Wall?
No , Wall was 14, certainly a chunky unit!

It worries me that someone could not understand “any criticism” of Dowson. That is weird hero worship and never ends well.

Re: Dutch Documentary - A Week In Woking

I loved this. Superb honesty, Dowse's passion for football is a joy to watch. Dowse is a gift to the club. I really struggle to understand any criticism of the guy. It’s very obvious that he gives absolutely everything to the club and community. He’ll make mistakes, all football managers do, but hi...

Re: Woking fans – support our new stadium regeneration

I support the development, just concerned about who will own the club (and having to go to Farnborough for two years!!)
The talk of rugby has been around right from the start. There not being a local club would just be seen as an opportunity by someone like Morgan....

Re: Woking fans – support our new stadium regeneration

I think the concern is that the Woking CEO is more interested in getting a rugby club to Woking.
Once they were in the council, who will own WFC, might lose interest in the football and will have an ongoing sports use of the stadium if WFC went pop.

Re: Loop Road

I swear one of the plans, maybe in the original proposal, had a construction compound on part of the Loop Road sports fields that had an entrance to Loop Road.
Unless I have imagined it that was probably where they got there idea from.

Hasn’t the atmosphere always been flat at Kingfield?
Woking fans expect to be entertained and generally only get excitable when the football gets exciting.

Re: Who Would Win - Nineties, Naughties, or Tens???

Gez couldn’t head a ball to save his life, barely even tried to win the long balls He seemed to learn a bit from Rendell on this and by the end of his time here, he was smarter about challenging and disrupting centre halves even without winning headers. That was what used to piss me off - I didn’t ...

Re: Who Would Win - Nineties, Naughties, or Tens???

Gez couldn’t head a ball to save his life, barely even tried to win the long balls Did you ever pay up after saying he'd never score a header? Of course I did. Bastard scored it on the final game of the season - as if going to Chelmsford isn’t bad enough! To be fair I was going to pay up anyway as ...

There is a construction site of some sort off Loop Road isn’t there? Part of the fields is being used for something according to the plans.
Not sure whether it is site offices or materials.
Bit like the bit behind Moaners that was used for building Willow Reach?
