Statement re financial support for Woking FC

The Board have noted with gratitude the various posts and creative ideas regarding how to help financially support Woking FC. At this stage we would ask that we store all the ideas and energy so that, at the appropriate time we can all, as fans and club, respond in a coordinated way based on the ful...

Re: Statement from Woking Football Club

Love all these creative thoughts and energy about the club's future.... just a request to hold fire for now so we can coordinate the best response for the future of the club Over the next week or so football clubs will be assessing their own internal response but also liaising with the National Leag...

Can you ask God why he invested this virus?, is he cross ?

If you can't get hold of him then ask Dereck Brown, he'll know
To be honest, as I said, I didn’t post this for discussion or debate. Start your own thread for that... it’s communication at a time many people will be struggling

Chaplaincy support in the coming months

It really feels like we are stepping into the unknown and I have noticed a lot of concerned questions in different forums . First and foremost the club is a family and I wanted to offer support; my mobile is 07976351891 and email is chaplain@wokingfc.co.uk >> If you would like prayer for a specific ...

Re: Club Statement: Woking vs. Dagenham & Redbridge

Disappointing as it was for all of us for such a late postponement we simply cannot say things on the basis of rumour, social media or one individual. I have already heard 2 or 3 different versions. We will take our time, talk to the relevant authorities and parties so that whatever can be said offi...

Ok my two pennyworth in a personal capacity! The government on Thursday stated that they didn't feel mass sporting events should be cancelled ( see Cheltenham today) at the moment. Their presentation was very clear, factual and from health experts. They are either very right or very wrong; the PM ma...

Just to let people know that we will put an announcement on the website tomorrow about Saturday's game. This is so we can allow things to become clear after todays COBRA meetings and once we have taken advice from the FA/ National League. As things stand at the moment the game is going ahead as norm...

Re: Woking FC Dutch Documentary

Certainly an interesting documentary. As a fan of the club, it is somewhat surreal showing perhaps that a part time club doesn't really need a full time manager. A lot of hanging around the club midweek filling time. Not sure whether this is a whoosh but if you think Dowse is, or could be, part tim...

Re: Development Catch-Up

Secondly when you say a single 3,000 seater stand do you mean one to replace the old stands along the side where the dressing rooms are? If so what do you expect will replace the LGS? This stand now costs a fortune to maintain, isn't really fit for purpose and will probably lose it's safety certifi...

Re: Development Catch-Up

I still don't see why a few houses and training pitches couldn't pay for a single 3,000 seater stand, and a few retail outlets such as a restaurant etc. That's all the club need. Less outlay and disruption. Less cost so less development needed to pay for it? If Woking ever get established in League...

Of course there are divergent views well put but a lot is scattergun and emotional moving from one issue to another, often with very different agendas For all that there are many local p...
