He was at Aldershot’s academy, so you’ve just outed yourself as a Shots fan for all to see
I am a football fan who watches 9 or 10 local sides.
But you said 'our' not Aldershot's Academy. "Our" indicates a connection, a belonging, ownership, not just a passing interest of a local side.

Re: Max Kretzschmar signs a new deal

To be fair to Max I think he was in decent form prior to the League suspension, he had good matches up at Notts County and Halifax. I'm sure he's been signed as a squad player and with him being involved with the Academy then it probably works well for both parties.

Re: The Way Ahead with Social Distancing?

The FA consultation document that came out the other week was talking of reducing capacity to 30% of the ground capacity. This would roughly mean Kingfield being limited to around 2,000 which should be fine for social distancing for most. Our true regular support is probably between 1,500 and 2,000 ...

Re: Financial Controller opportunity

I think you’ll find it is a witch hunt Jon. You’re the only person who repeatedly complains about Jon Davies, often completely out of the blue. If you’re blaming Paul for the sale of the tennis centre as well, without understanding what went on, you’re just extending the witch hunt and you’re being...

Re: Stevenage relegated

I agree. Six separate times they were late paying their players. A ridiculous situation. The statement of the independent panel stated that the penalty would have been higher, but because it would have resulted in relegation they instead suspended them four points for next season. There is no integ...

Only 8 weeks now until September. Even our kids trans have started training as have the local men’s teams. Non contact of course. Is September still possible? I’m thinking probably October... From all the things I've heard and/or read on Twitter etc the FA, Leagues and clubs are gearing up for a Se...

Re: Ex-Cards - May 29th onwards

That's a strange move IMO. Unless its a stepping stone to Rangers or Celtic you could argue that Gillingham are a far bigger club. Ross Country are a very decent club in a beautiful part of the U.K. Nice ground, nice place Dingwall or Inverness to live in,a lot better place to be than Gillingham, a...

Re: Stevenage relegated

perhaps there were extenuating circumstances why they breached the rules this time and the Disciplinary Board took this into consideration. Re: Stevenage relegated

It won't be popular on here but I agree with what was being said in the report, the punishment handed out on a repeat offender was lenient considering what had been imposed before. Don't get me wrong, Stevenage should be relegated because by a long way they were the worst football side in League Two...

Re: Planning committee outcome

I prefer unpredictable lower league semi-pro football than the robotic professional game in L2 where not making mistakes and fitness is more than important than skill. Like back in 90's when you could have a Clive Walker in the same team as a Wayne Sutton. I guess it is a matter of opinion. We have...

Re: Woking FC Reboot - help strengthen Dowse’s squad

So how does this actually work? How does the club actually benefit? Personally I'm happy and ready to buy a season ticket for next season (irrespective of when it is likely to commence or for how long) right now and obviously that is a direct payment to the club. Also can't the club just get support...

Beyond the plan the shocking statements were talk of ghettoization of Kingfield and 1 local councillor talking of affordable 1 bedroom flats turning it into a slum. Shocking from a Lib Dem; local housing IS A CRISIS and will not be resolved by bungalows and cul de sacs!! What chance on earth do our...

Re: Planning committee outcome

All your suggestions are great if we can find the finance to pay for them. We probably need TWO new stands as the LGS is in serious need of upgrading and the cost to do this will be almost as much as building a new one with better facilities. Please can we stop saying this. Trust me, unless there's...

Re: Planning committee outcome

At the risk of being unpopular I think that is a victory for common sense. Give me an organically grown stadium with character, with the KRE, the LGS & Moaners over a featureless box any day. All of those influencers who would have benefitted from the development can move on. It sounds like the clu...

Re: A Personal Statement from the Chairman

I freely admit to having no knowledge of planning regulations, laws etc but from what I am told by people who work in the planning sector this application failed on some very basic planning regulations and policy and it seems the vote would seem to support that. A very bad night for WFC.
