Even the casual moaner can read a league table. I hope.
I heard a few moaning that we were shit in our friendly against Wycombe so I don't hold out much hope
Really!! I thought we looked quite good against Wycombe and were unlucky to lose.

Re: 6 Pointer

If my memory serves me well didn’t Kidderminster lose their first five matches and then went on to win the league. They lost their first 5 then drew the next 5. Then went on a ridiculous run winning 28 of their next 36. They came 2nd and lost in the playoffs though. Ah. I remember they only had 5 p...

Re: VAR (again)

To be fair to the authorities use of technology as in VAR was brought in because of the continuous moaning and whinging by managers of the 'big' clubs about referees and incidents they supposedly missed (only the ones that adversely affected their clubs of course). It was the clubs who kept shouting...

If you win you get 3 points
If you draw you get 1
If you lose you get 0
Not if you play an ineligible player 😉

Re: 6 Pointer

It is fairly simple maths as Meerkat points out, but you don't need to be level. If you are 2 points ahead and win you then become 5 points ahead. If you lose you are 1 point behind. This maths is clearly correct but, arguably, every game is a promotion 6-pointer.when it's only 5 games into the sea...

Jack is definitely one for the future we need to keep hold of but he needs matches so I expect him to be out on loan for most of the season.

Re: Something special?

Yes it could all go tits up and it’s only 5 matches but I’m bloody loving this start so I’m going to enjoy it while I can. Right now I’m sat in a pub in Preston enjoying my pint with a massive grin on me and a really warm feeling inside. Unless you were there today you can’t appreciate how dominate ...

Bloody expensive
Good pies are expensive and if you were in Chesterfield and they were expensive they must have been good
Expensive doesn’t always equal quality. The pies 🥧 at Turf Moor are excellent (especially the peppered steak) and they’re only £3.

You got home by 12.10 ? Good work. 2.00 back at the ground for us. M1 shut following an accident caused a detour :-(
Probably caused by Liz driving too fast 😂

Re: Stevenage going down this season

My Leeds-KX train stops there today so will make sure I ‘boo’...and keep an eye on the wheels.. 😂 Older trains used to have toilets that flushed straight on to the tracks so if I were likely to be travelling through Stevenage on the train I would ensure I went to the toilet a few minutes before get...

Yes. One of four new grounds and it's the school holibobs.
I'm going via Bakewell to find some tarts.
Remember, fish and chips in The Peacock, Bakewell market square.

And there puddings not tarts!
No, no there definitely tarts, well the ones Jon is talking about 😂

Re: Yesterdays crowd

We lost 2,500 spectators from Tuesday. But Aldershot bought 927 and Harrogate bought 37 so there’s nearly 900 for you. It’s prime holiday season and Tuesday’s was a real bonus for us so I’m not too worried about yesterday’s attendance. We are averaging just under 2.700 so I’ll take that.

Re: Beer

And for the bar itself, I was thinking literally a table with boxes of beer behind, and a couple of contactless payment points. Dead simple and dead cheap, they would only need to sell about 10 beers to make back the cost of running it! What you mean like at St Albans last year where they sold out ...
