Re: Who Would Win - Nineties, Naughties, or Tens???

The nineties of course, but surely Stuart Mitchell should be in at right back, and only a scoundrel would choose Clive Walker over Frilly

And where is Billy Knott?

Yes George Freil, absolutely on fire for the season he played for us.
It don’t know why he left, perhaps money or Geoff didn’t fancy him in the Conference.

Went to play for Slough, left them and joined Peppard!!
I love it when a plan comes together

Re: Match Thread Chorley (H)

Maybe but I’m not sure he really has that many options all the time. Often the ball is launched at him from a defender or the GK. When he brings it down he has the (well-marked) wide players or distant midfielders to choose from. But overall I agree his hold-up play was much better last year. I thin...

Re: Match Thread Chorley (H)

I’d say that Lisa’s output is actually quite good. It’s not like he’s got an excellent passing midfield inside of him giving him the ball at the right time multiple times a game - he often gets it near the halfway line and is required to inject some pace into the game. All of this isn’t easy. This....

It’s clear that the loaners mentioned made a huge difference. Well done to the management team for finding them and bringing them in. This is how you stay up on a shoestring.

We need to find a few more in January...

Re: WFCTV | Sutton United 6 - 2 Woking | Dowse Interview

One question I have... when we were really good back in August, didn’t we play with a back 5 and wingbacks? If so, what happened to that?

Re: WFCTV | Sutton United 6 - 2 Woking | Dowse Interview

I’d be keen to know how Dowse has learned from his errors in the transfer market? This point didn’t appear to be answered in the interview. He made clear in the interview, Everyone in the squad is someone he has recruited, now he’s saying that at least 5 or 6 need to go! On that basis reflecting on...

Re: Total Embarrassment

“& 2 of which can't play on plastic” Interesting question this. Maybe we can afford Tarps and Jake because you don’t play on plastic. The alternative would presumably less accomplished strikers who can play every game. Given that the target for this year is to stay up, and that we will likely stay u...

Re: Total Embarrassment

WTF? He makes mistakes, yes, but he’s got a team with a tiny budget within ten points of safety by Christmas. We are in very shit form, but that comment is ridiculous. It is a bit over the top, but today Dowse chose the formation. Dowse picked the team. Dowse decided what the tactics should be. Dow...

Re: Manny Parry

Seemingly benched for his views on the right back issue I have no idea whether that's true or not, but if it is, I'd be extremely disappointed - but not entirely surprised, given the way that Poku was frozen out a couple of months ago. Some people at the club do need to develop slightly thicker ski...

Re: Match Thread H vs Sutton Utd

It was far from pretty and showed all Dowse's issues. When it works, it is super efficient. When it doesn't, he will not change it, or have the players or nous to change it. We are in a good position in the league....no doubt. Yet, issues that were evident in pre season are still here now. Despite ...

Re: Most gutless display of the decade

Dorking don't have to prove there the best team in Surrey, Woking quite adequately helped them prove that with there display today. Mind you Sutton weren't bad today. What was the point of your post? Nobody even mentioned Dorking before your introduced them into this post that’s nothing to do with ...

Re: Most gutless display of the decade

Some thoughts from me: - I didn’t think Gerring was really deserving of singling out for criticism. That was a terrible team performance and I don’t think he stuck out as one of the poorest performers. - what happened with the second goal? Ross mistake? Albeit after a period of headless chicken defe...
