Re: Dowse's Friday Catch-Up | 03/07/2020

Rio, you state that the world of football should sort itself out after the pandemic, and I agree, then I hear that Havant (of NLS) have signed a player on a 3 year contract. the reality is that the world of football will never sort itself out of the financial hole it finds itself in Havant are in a...

Re: Financial Controller opportunity

It’s a massive shame that Rosemary has had to come on here and make it clear that another of Jon’s claims are false. It’s also a shame that he doesn’t have the class to apologise for a number of misplaced claims about one of the club’s most valuable volunteers. Aside from volunteering in the progra...

Re: Dowse's Friday Catch-Up | 03/07/2020

I did laugh at his comment about Cook Me too...Cook developed into a Conference Level Right back as the season went on. Cook plied his trade under Dowse as a centre back for 2 seasons, and before Dowse too....No wonder he struggled to start with last season. I think he can more than do a job as a c...

Maybe he didn’t want to play second fiddle to Jarvis!
Lives in Norwich so no brainer move for him

I’d rather he did. He’s had an issue (that he doesn’t understand) with Jon Davies for years, but naming Paul Elmer (who I personally think has given up more time as a volunteer for the club than anyone I can think of, over a huge number of years) is just out of order.
Agreed

Re: A Personal Statement from the Chairman

My mum. Well within the kilometre. She can currently see Woking Town’s skyline growing on the horizon and frankly it’d make little difference - if the development was sensitive and created what it boasted. Of course this is navel-gazing and the decision is made, but I’m not sure that ONLY Woking FC...

Re: Planning committee outcome

At the risk of being unpopular I think that is a victory for common sense. Give me an organically grown stadium with character, with the KRE, the LGS & Moaners over a featureless box any day. All of those influencers who would have benefitted from the development can move on. It sounds like the clu...

Re: Scott Rendell Released

Good luck to him wherever he goes, if clubs at the time wanted to pay well over the odds to procure his signature, then so be it. I do feel that the I have to look after the interests of my young family statement was highly amusing at the time though, considering he’d been bollock deep in barmaids....

Re: Scott Rendell Released

So much bilge talked about him...was doing the best for his family . Yes there was a fund raiser and yes most/some of us contributed and at the time was the right thing to do. the lower offer he got to return from the club compared to what was on offer elsewhere was a decsion you all would have take...
