Re: Keep or cull?

This has probably been done before, but the Bunch of Amateurs guys hate him because he ripped some of their content, put it on his TikTok and didn't give credit. I believe when they asked him to he then basically said no. It's why in the Dorking v Woking version of that this year they've put a clown...

Re: Keep or cull?

It's not Kellerman's game anyway, I wouldn't want him as a shield. I take your point but no, I don't think we are only playing him out of necessity. We had a lot of attackers on the bench on Saturday and still played 1 up front with Luker given the chance to not do much tracking back (I'm ok with th...

Re: Keep or cull?

I think your last point is a particularly good one. We've used far too many players this season and we've signed a lot of rubbish - players either not good enough or not fit enough. Southend, who most tipped for relegation, would have finished comfortably in the play-offs without their points deduc...

For those who have predicted that we'll lose on Saturday do you think that BW will win and therefore send us down?
Yes.

Re: FA Cup Replays

There's loads of decent case studies of the impact of replays in recent past on the current position of clubs being thrown around on X at the moment. Exeter, Lincoln to name two that have had money spinning replays that set them up for success. I mean we must have made a couple of quid from going to...

Did I imagine Dowson teeing off saying he'd never set foot in the club again?

Only some people in this thread would have you paint it that he's some kind of messiah who's been wronged because a few folk thought his tactics resembled that of a dinosaur's.

Re: FA Cup Replays

As always, the desperate attempts to pacify the Premier League clubs ends up with the smaller clubs getting shat on. Forget L1/L2 for a minute. Imagine you're a Horsham, a Ramsgate (don't know why those two came into my head) and you draw Derby at home then nick a point. You want the replay right? ...

Re: WFC TV | Woking 0-1 Eastleigh | Extended Match Highlights

I accept about Ross’ kicking but he was less error prone than Will. I can’t image him trying to head it while 25 yards out like Will did at Oxford. You’ve forgotten all the goals that just went through Ross? Not shocking errors but not as many saves as you should expect at this level. Well quite. R...

Re: Bromley (A) Match Thread

Good performance and a good point. An absolute sickener though. Chesterfield seem to be doing there bit to keep teams above water. Kiddy only 3 points behind now. Lose on Saturday and we’re in a fair bit of trouble. Win on Saturday and we can get the cigars out. Depends on how full your glass is!

Re: Updated run ins

Didn’t Aldershot provide the funniest play off moment ever when their manager was celebrating their win on penalties before the shootout finished…and before the Shots utterly choked it? Some of us may still have it saved as a GIF and pop it in group chats from time to time. Rendell cried that night...

Re: Updated run ins

6 points should do it, hopefully less!! 6 will definitely do it. I think 4 will do it. There's now just so many teams involved in it that the likelihood of all of them getting to 51 seems far fetched. If the 21-23 placed team's games go to form this weekend, then you're looking at York getting 9 fr...

Re: Tuesday thoughts & MDs Record so far

I think it's a bit disingenuous to say defeat tomorrow night and the fat lady sings. I admit, it will make the job a lot more tricky but it's far from over. Defeat tomorrow night and we're going to be 4pts behind anyone bar Southend, the damage to morale will be severe as much as anything else as t...

Re: Tuesday thoughts & MDs Record so far

As I say KE, I think it's more important we avoid defeat tomorrow night. If we lost tomorrow and won the two home games then our best case scenario we'd be 2 ahead of Ebbsfleet but potentially still a point behind them having used our game in hand.

Re: Tuesday thoughts & MDs Record so far

I'm pretty sure we've never won there. Its a grisly place, at least it will be dark so we can't see to much outside Do they still have dead buses there ? I saw someone say that the other day and whilst I'm sure Doylie can provide evidence, certainly in the Conference/Conf South era I can't remember...

Re: Tuesday thoughts & MDs Record so far

Doyle will have had more than enough time to turn it around if we do go down. He would have needed about 7 wins from 23 matches (25 points from 23 matches) from the time of appointment. Plus he's been allowed to bring in half a new team - DKE, Dyche, Smith, Edwards, Luker, Kendall, Walker I broadly...

Re: Tuesday thoughts & MDs Record so far

some interesting thoughts already in this thread, and I am sure there will be more to come with regards to MD sorting out the defence and midfield, I agree. Dyche, DKE, Edwards and Luker are all upgrades on what was there before. KE is right that the bit that needs sorting is up top, and specifical...

Re: Tuesday thoughts & MDs Record so far

We need wingers before we need strikers. I like what MD has done and I like the style he's trying to play, but overlapping full-backs need to be able to cross it and one definitely can't whilst the jury is out on the other. it's all a bit 4-2-3-1 for me at times - had we not equalised on Saturday ev...
